We had an amazing stay at Chandi Mahals!! The hosts hospitality was truly exceptional, extremely kind and helpful man who went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay. The included breakfast is delicious and such a treat to enjoy home cooked Sri Lankan meals with fresh homemade juices too! He is more than willing to drop you to local attractions and gave us a list of things to see. He arranges it all! Honestly the best place we’ve stayed after a month of traveling Sri Lanka.

The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. This is a hidden gem in the mountains of Kandy, away from traffic and noise of the downtown. I was so happy that we stayed there. First and most important is the manager Maxi, a generous and kind man who helped us with everything and we were surrounded by care for the whole visit (short unfortunately). The room itself is huge, we had 1 big living room with king bed and another small room with queen bed with bathroom. Very good shower with constant well pressure of hot water. The balcony is lovely with spectacular view to the hills and local houses. Breakfast was on the open terrace and very tasty with fresh juices and nicely cooked eggs. Once in Kandy I definitely come back to the place as it is well maintained and the management is really taking care of the guests.

First of all, it's a whole floor for you in a small house, so you a completely alone and will not meet anybody on your territory :) something I wasn't expecting for such a low price actually Secondly, the renovation/decoration is amazing. White walls and floor, clean and spaceful bathroom. Again, it was completely unexpected 😅 Landlady even offered me traffic-coupons for my SIM-card due to Wi-Fi wasn't working!

The bed and breakfast features family rooms. Everything. Very kind family running the place. It was very clean everywhere in the house. The bedroom was comfortable. We mostly talked to Eranga who makes you feel at home instantly. Ask for a Sri Lankan breakfast, it’s cooked by the family, delicious! Good location too, we walked along the lake to the city center, around 25min. Eranga also has a scooter to rent, very useful for a day of exploration.
