I was even greeted by a hand written card when I arrived.

This is a beautiful property, well located near the centre of the town and on the waterfront. The house is themed on the history of a previous Röder and some fascinating documents and pictures are on display. Even the rooms are named after other members of the family, which is a nice touch. The host was amazing and couldn't do enough, being particularly helpful in securing our e-bikes in his garage. Breakfast was wonderful and eaten at a communal table with other guests, which is fully in keeping with the ambiance of the house and was most enjoyable.

The property is around 25 km from BCN Rotterdam, 28 km from Plaswijckpark and 28 km from Theatre De Nieuwe Doelen. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk and bicycle parking for guests. Our host Isabelle let us know in advance that we could meet her early at the apartment so we could drop off our luggage - it was really nice to meet her. She gave us the key and also a lot of useful information and explained where the car park was to leave our car. We were staying for 3 days and the first 24 hours were free so we just had to add the extra 2 days - it was very cheap for the remaining 2 days. The apartment is very close to the city with everything within walking distance and good for exploring further in Rotterdam and The Hague - It had everything you could possibly need and is very comfortable and cosy. Isabelle had left lots of extra goodies in the fridge and biscuits and cakes - a really nice surprise and very welcome. There was some outside noise one evening but it was the weekend so it was bound to be busier than usual. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Dordrecht and would definitely recommend Hiltje - Nice to Stay.

When we arrived the house was warm, which was very much appreciated. Afterwards the room was perfect in size, nice and clean. They have different types of salt, coffee, and many utensils. Although we were 4 of us and it was designed for 2 people, those of us who slept on the couch were more or less comfortable and very easy to set up and take down. We wanted to stay longer but we had to move to continue traveling.
