If you want to have a true experience of the Chitwan National Park with the best local guide who is passionate about the jungle and has a ton of knowledge about the wildlife, then this is the best place for you! Bishnu (the owner of the lodge and guide) is truly amazing! He started answering any questions I had even before I arrived at the area. His wife and his kids are truly adorable and they made me feel like being at home. I went with Bishnu in a half day jeep safari and a full day walking (and boat) safari, as well as some other activities like bird watching. Even if we were not lucky enough to see a tiger, we saw many rhinos, deers and monkeys! Bishnu knows every corner of the forest and he was explaining to us every detail and answering any questions we had. While other guides may show you only the basics without putting much effort, Bishnu is trying his best to find the best spots in the jungle so that the guests could have the greatest experience! One day of my 3 days stay, I was the only guest and Bishnu arranged extra activities especially for me so as not to get bored! Last but not least, the food was fresh and homemade, and it was the best food I had in Nepal! These 3 days full of adventure and great hospitality, was the best part of my trip in Nepal and makes me want to visit Nepal and Bishnu again in the future for sure! Raj is kind and helpful. He organised a great walking and jeep safari. He collected us from the bus and dropped us back. Room was comfortable and there was a hot shower. Mosquito nets above the bed which are needed. For the price, it is honestly great.

The food in the hotel is tasty and homely. Overall, the entire experience was very enjoyable. 10/10 highly recommended place.

The Tharu Village is 100 metres from the property. The Sauraha Bus Station is 3.5 km while the Bharatpur Airport is 20 km. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully designed. Loved the bath tub!! The pool area was very relaxing. The gardens were also nicely kept and manicured. All the staff were friendly and the food was exceptional.

We had an amazing time and felt like at home at Sapana Lodge. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The location is great and we could see the elephants just from the hotel terrace. The food is super tasty and fresh. The hotel offers lots of activities, and we tried walking tour and jeep safari, and we could spot many animals during the tour. The atmosphere is so relaxing and peaceful, would love to stay longer.
