I stayed in Villa Pauline with my wife and another couple. We spent six nights at this B&B in September of 2024. It was a pleasure from the arrival to departure. The facilities are decorated with art and artefacts (collected by the hosts’ families over decades of world travel) that create a unique atmosphere that elevates the whole experience to a new level. Our hosts Michel and Christine were the most accommodating hosts we ever had a pleasure to stay with. They helped us to select our travel itinerary and went above an beyond to make our stay pleasant and unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Villa Pauline.

We really didn't know what to expect, since this is a converted barge, but this exceeded our expectations. Was initially a bit apprehensive because we booked a longer stay (10 days), but it ended up being very perfect and I can't imagine leaving after only a night or two. The boat was very very clean, which was one of the first nice surprises. The bathrooms were new and the water pressure and temperature in the showers worked great. Beds were very comfortable, with great quality bedding. The kitchen was very well equipped. Olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, bottled water, tea, and coffee are provided. Washer and drying rack. It really feels like the host has thought of everything. Benjamin was also a perfect host. Always available to help, but never intrusive. The boat also has many many books, and even a few card games. We knew there was no wifi so we made sure we had a lot of data on our mobile phones. We enjoyed the terrace very much, and the hammock for reading by the water was a nice touch. When leaving, unlike many other home stays, there was no long list of chores to do, which was very much appreciated. No need to strip the beds and start the laundry or take out the trash like in many other places. You can park your car right outside, and the ramp to the boat was well lit and safe. It's a 20min walk to the ferry station that goes across the water to Avignon, and when the ferries are not running, it's only about a 40min walk into Avignon on a forest path then paved path then bridge. On the same island there is a nice farm vegetable stand that sells eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruits, and juices. Also a great bakery about a 25min walk away. A 10 minute drive away to the nearby town of Les Angles has everything you need in terms of amazing groceries, cheeses, wines, meats, seafood, and patisserie. The island itself is used by everyone nearby as a place to jog or walk and have a bit of nature.

Everything was perfect. Nice and helpful hostess, gift in our language. Feel like at home there. Great for family with children. We travel around the whole world and visit lot off hotels but this acommodation is really special :-). Thank you and see you soon :-).
