The service was brilliant. We got all the help we needed. For example for getting a transfer to the pidurangala ( at 5 0’clock in the morning) and a very good taxi driver who took us to our next location (very long drive/ the taxi driver gave us a roadtrip with visits to special places). The BEST stay in Sri Lanka! The family are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world. So special to try so many different Sri Lankan food options, we were truly spoilt! The room was great, spacious and so clean. The bathroom was massive and had a good shower. The bed was comfortable and the aircon was fantastic too. We really appreciated the decorations for our honeymoon stay. What sets this stay apart from others is how welcomed we felt. Chaminda was always around to answer questions, organised a safari for us and even took us to a local shop in his tuktuk. It’s the perfect location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Super close to Lion’s Rock too. We would really recommend the Safari jeep tour with Tharanga (Kindly organised by Chaminda) we had a private tour of Eco park and saw so many elephants it was incredible! For a really great price too. Tharanga was lovely and knew exactly where to go to see the elephants, he also kept his distance which we appreciated. All in all, this was our favourite stay in this amazing country and we can’t recommend it enough!

Situated in Sigiriya, 1.7 km from Sigiriya Rock, Sigiri Birds Hostel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Among the facilities at this property are room service and an ATM, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. When I arrived I was welcomed by the family (with 2 kids) with some nice tea. Afterwards the husband propsed to do a free scooter tour and we’ve passed some beautiful sights, including the secret lake where you had a view on both the Pidugala rock and the Lion rock. They also were helpful for tuktuk drives (paid) at any arranged hour. In the room I was the only one so I could choose a bed. The bed was comfortable and had a musquito net. There was also 1 fan in the room and the bathroom was specious en clean. In the morning I also got served some delicous breakfast. Would really recommend this place because of the location, value for money, delicious food and the hospitality of the family.

The hotel is located in the middle of a forest and while the road there is dark yet magical, once you enter you feel like in a dream. The place is surrounded by a fence to protect from the animals and the rooms are built on columns so you feel very safe. The rooms are wide, tidy and clean with a nice balcony to the trees. The team is absolutely great, attentive and service oriented. I want to highlight Kalana who was our main host and was extremely nice and took care of everting we needed. The food was great and menus was great and fresh and with great variety. Absolutely magical

Air-con room was spacious, very clean, and with comfy beds. Good size bathroom with hot shower. A well designed room with plugs strategically placed for convenience. Breakfast was really good, kids loved the coconut roll. Garden around the home is really beautiful. Convenient location, just a couple of minutes walk out to the Main Street with restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend booking at Sigiriya Moonlight Home. We would book again.
