The units in the guest house are fitted with a kettle. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and slippers, units at the guest house also offer free WiFi, while certain rooms include a terrace. At the guest house, every unit has bed linen and towels. A bit hard to find, behind some shops and apartments, you have to go under the building through, well, a short tunnel really. Maps is fairly accurate so just look for a gap in the building. On the other side is an old house which is the Nobel Regency which should have seemed "hemmed in" by the apartments, but it wasn't as it is set in lovely gardens with many plants. It's an old house with old furniture, retro but very comfortable. Multiple common areas both inside and outside. I had a very big room with a huge bathroom which was original to the house and dated, a bit of a time-warp really, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Good a/c and fan. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfortable bed. I was hot and tired from my motorbike journey and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They bought me a welcome drink. After I had showered, I asked for tea and a snack, and they bought me fruit and then tea and cake on the verandah. Nothing was too much trouble. I sat and read a book and they kept checking that I was comfortable and had everything that I wanted. I did notice that one of the rooms was small because they had added an en-suite bathroom in a sort of prefabricated unit inside the room. That seemed a bit unusual. But I suppose it is perfectly functional. It is an inexpensive place to stay. Very good Sri Lankan curries and rice dinner, fruit and dessert. Breakfast was also very good. This was a perfect choice for me. I didn't explore the town as I was only on a stopover for one night, and I left early the next morning. It was very comfortable with good food and fantastic hosts.

The resort features an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi throughout the property. Reihan and Claire took exceptional care of us from the get-go till the farewell. The property just screams privacy and luxury and so does the mentality of their staff. Reihan greeted us personally and also led the two safaris in his capacity as the head ranger. Could not recommend it more to anyone who hasn't experienced it. Block 5 in terms of the area for our safari felt kinda small in a good sense and we spotted a wide range of wildlife from crocodiles and elephants to leopards, mongooses, land monitors and birds. The food was delicious and rest assured there was plenty of it. Since we signed up for the all-inclusive package, we were pampered 24/7. The three-course meals were both absolutely yummy and generously sized. The cocktail were as delicious as potent. Unfortunately, we had only booked one night, but we'll sign up for 2 or 3 nights when we come back to appreciate the experience even more.

Waking up to the sound of flowing water was incredibly calming and made the whole experience feel serene and refreshing. The service was warm and attentive, with the staff going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to the stay. That said, a little extra attention to maintenance would take this place from great to exceptional. Some areas could use a bit of upkeep to match the overall charm of the property. But honestly, it didn’t take away much from the experience—we still had a fantastic time. Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to unwind close to nature!

Roshani was so attentive, thorough and communicative. She not only provided accommodations but invited me on various cultural experiences so I could get a first hand experience.
