The city is so beautiful in so many ways.
The city is so beautiful in so many ways. There's a lot to see and do. There are some really good restaurants. The only (important) drawback is the number of street vendors anywhere you go. In some places it's ok, in others it's not nice. But it's part of the experience. If you're going to do some island hopping, compare prices and always ask confirmation of what is actually included in the package. Little tip : try the chocolate beer at the Chocolate MuseumGuest review byJoelFrance - 8.0
Cancun has more resorts than there are stars in the sky--...
Cancun has more resorts than there are stars in the sky--it's pretty nuts! It's great that families have tons of options as far as all-inclusive resorts go. You can go all out and pay thousands per night, or go on-the-cheap and find a resort that offers subpar food, but still beach-front. I loved Chichen Itza, the cenotes, and the food. You can get REALLY great and authentic food if you leave the resort areas and drive to the center of the city. There's an area that has tons of vendors and the food is insanely good! I personally don't think I'll ever return to Cancun, as it's not the best for a single gay guy. Playa Del Carmen would be more my style, as there is more to do for single people. I think we goofed up in staying around the major resort area of Cancun. The resorts pretty much control a lot of the coast, except for a little sliver. It's great for families for sure, but not really for single people. But the warm waters of the beaches was astounding! I'm from Southern California and our beaches are freezing, year-round! I definitely enjoyed myself, as there is much to do, including some world class restaurants. But I think Puerto Vallarta is more my jam.Guest review byAntonioUnited States - 8.0
This was my second time visiting Punta Cana.
This was my second time visiting Punta Cana. Still undergoing a lot of building and construction, but it is a growing county. We stayed in Uvero Alto at the beginning of September. We did see plenty of seaweed but they do try to remove it daily. But for my liking the ocean is nice to see but due to the darker water and seaweed I didn't get in the water. Macoa beach was not impressive and they have many vendors that are extremely overpriced. Other than that you can walk along the beach, but plan to take your own food for the day or spend $25 per lb of fish or $30 per lb for lobster. Saona Island was beautiful, you see the blue Caribbean waters and white sand. This time we saw clear waters, but the first time there was a lot of seaweed.Guest review byHernandezUnited States - 6.0

Our time in Santa Marta/Rodadero/Minca was nice, although we did not get the full experience of "where the mountain meet the sea" that we were expecting. We did not take a day trip to the national park because yellow fever vaccinations were required for entry. The beaches in the area are okay, though not outstanding. I'm glad we went and got to know the area, but I'd not especially recommend it.Guest review byRossUnited States - 10.0

We love this hotel. Just a short walk to a fantastic beach. They let us borrow two folding beach chairs and they supply beach towels. We stayed in Apartment #7. It was quite large, amply cooking supplies in the kitchen, clean and comfortable. We will return.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 10.0

What I really liked about Barranquilla was that I thought it was Colombias best kept secret. It’s developing a lot more and has a lot of partying which I’m not into. I really liked the boardwalk where the Shakira and Sofia Vergara statues are. The people seem very friendly. The Buenavista mall was fun and a must. Overall great city and great people. Definitely worth the visit.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 2.0

I'd take a pass on traveling to Santo Domingo again, I've traveled to a lot of developing countries, but this city is the worst capital in Latin America. The service is all around terrible within the city, it is expensive for what is offered, it is very, very underdeveloped, it is chaotic, and dangerous.Guest review byJamieUnited States - 10.0

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances ( reggea, little shabby, motorbikes) and you will have a lovely stay there. Everything is within walking distance but you can rent a buggy or bike to go around. There are colourful festivals like the Emancipation Day or the August 7 Carneval in San Luis. Do not miss the Aquarium and Johnny Cay! The best beaches are in San Luis.Guest review byErikaHungary - 2.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 10.0
Willemstad is very nice and colorful city.
Willemstad is very nice and colorful city. I loved floating market. Curious thing happened to me when I was parking a car I rented. I did not have coins and parking watches do not accept credit cards. An old man is siting on the parking and he is eating his sandwich. He calls me and gives me a coin to pay parking. I tried to give him dollars in notes, but he refused. He probably gave me his last coin. That is just to see how are the people of Curacao.Guest review byVladimirBosnia and Herzegovina
