The hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The room had a spacious terrace, and during the summer nights it was pleasantly cool for sleeping. The gondola is located right next to the hotel, which is extremely convenient. The staff were kind, friendly, and always willing to help.

We came here for our anniversary and loved every minute. Our room was on the top floor (5th) and overlooked the beautiful valley. The staff were super efficient and spoke good English. The room itself was spotless, especially the bathroom. The pool was sparkling clean without smelling of chlorine. Simple breakfast that included scrambled eggs, along with fresh bread rolls, jam, cereals, yogurt, cold meats and a selection of cheeses. The waiters also topped up supplies once they were finished. The building has a lot of charm and is well maintained. We will definitely be back in the future!

Hotel is located very close to ski lift (6-7 minutes by foot or just 2 minutes by local village bus which goes every 15 minutes), they provide rich breakfast with real Italian coffee, sauna and infrared cabin is included in accommodation rate which gives full relaxation after skiing. Modern and stylish design of the rooms and hotel in light colours with bright accents let to feel energised and powerful. Helpful and charming personnel ready to assist with every quest requests. Highly recommended to visit and feel Austrian hospitality.

Perfect view with mountains. Love the wellness area and the checkin area, very nice decoration and views. food and wine is very good! we love the kaiserschmarrn, which was the best we've ever had!!! room is big and clean. services are also nice and friendly, and hotel looks quite new actually. they also provided some activities like yoga for guests. In general very relaxing hotel for vacation, way beyond my expectation!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The position is perfect, surrounded by beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings. The services were excellent, with friendly staff always ready to help. I loved the food, the swimming pool, and the relaxing sauna. The squirrel in the garden added a special touch to the experience. Overall, everything was well taken care of, and it was exactly the kind of place I like.

Good location, 10 minute walk to the ski lift, nice place to store ski equipment during the night, parking available on site, nice room and bathroom. There are a few good places eat out in the nearby. Walking the dog in the area is fun way to discover Dorfgastein and please remember to pick up the litter after your pet. There is a coffee machine near the reception and you can pay with card.

The wine selection is fitting to the menu. Even we were not travelling with pets, the hotel is absolutly pet friendly. Placed in a very quiet and beatiful part of the city.

I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer...

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

We visited the thermal pool, the minimum stay is 4 hours, which is probably little bit too long, but the water was nice and warm, outdoor pool with a mountain view. Shops available. Petrol station available. Skilift right at the center. Very friendly and helpul people (a special thanks to a lady at a petrol station who helped us to find a car mechanic on saturday afternoon to fix our car to be able to drive back home)

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy...

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.

It’s nice little town.

It’s nice little town. If you like skiing and bathing in one of spa areas, then you will enjoy. Not lot of restaurants and good ones are always reserved so you need to prebook if you want to have lunch or dinner. Not a lot to do with children, specially young ones that are not skiing yet.
