This Hotel was like a winter wonderland it's warm and friendly staff are welcoming and approachable. The scenery is stunning to say the least. On arrival to the hotel our room was presented with lots of little goodies such as a platter of bakery treats with large bottle of mineral water. We then had a complementary lunch with soup and cake with hot beverage of choice. These little touches really made our stay memorable. My visit was one of sadness in a sense was with my best friend who is very ill and I just wanted a memory that we could share I think I will book again in new year it was the perfect place to relax or ski and explore. For just a while we was able to forget about our troubles and just be in a little paradise. I would recommend anyone who loves natures beauty to visit this spectacular hotel. I will be returning there when I next have a chance.

Location was perfect and within walking distance to the bus stop. Martina, the lady working at reception was incredible and so warm and friendly. No request ever felt like too much effort. She even organized a taxi for us when ours cancelled at the last minute. Beautiful, charming and cozy rooms with great food and super friendly staff. The sauna room is also incredible and free of charge to hotel guests, what a pleasure that was to use. Highly recommended if you visit Maria Alm!!! Words won't do it justice!!

We spent at this very cosy hotel six nights in the end of June! We were really pleased with every single day! Location was absolutely stunning, if you love nature. Hotel is under high mountains. Everything was perfect - the view to Hochkonig Mountains and splendid surrounding view. Very cosy, clean and comfortable double room. Sumptuous breakfast and dinner in a homely atmosphere. Possibility to pack food for hiking routs. Hiking routes began just right next to the hotel. Thanks to owners for warm family atmosphere! I definitely recommend this hotel for lovers of nature and silence.

Lovely atmospheric hotel with superb location both for exploring Hochkonig Region (the free bus stop in the front of the hotel) and other attractions. Spacious rooms with great facilities in the rooms and the bathroom ( big wardrobe, spacious bathroom cabinet, hairdryer in the room among the other things are a big plus). Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast buffet - big plus for menu variety, which slightly changes everyday.

I spent a fantastic 3-weeks vacation in this lovely hotel, equipped with all comforts and with excellent cuisine, which allowed me to immerse myself in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, enjoying the kindness and smiles of all the staff. Moreover, the Hochkönig area is truly stunning, with wonderful mountains and nature, ideal for hiking and mountain biking. I really do thank you so much again for everything!

This is a traditional Tyrolean property in a good location, very short walk to lift. Staff are fantastic. Adult only (natural!) spa in basement. Rooftop pool is a nice touch but could be a little warmer in winter. Food is outstanding. Very good value all round.

Great to get a summer pass that included free bus travel to various local hikes/cable cars and the lifts were free also with the pass, like the bus service. It was great not to use our car. The twon is cute and clean. A little small.

The hotel is great.

The hotel is great. Located quite high and therefore needs some time to drive up the mountain. Not much to do around the hotel itself, but the facilities in it offer a relaxed evening indoors. In winter with snowy roads, one need tire chains for your car to get up there.

Beautiful surroundings. A great place for summer hiking. With the Hockönig card you receive at the hotel's reception, you can use all the cable cars in the area, enjoy the beautiful views, savour the local cuisine, and get some exercise. There are trails for every level of ability. I would love to come back in winter.

Maria Alm, shall be connected with other Ski areas in the region - the skipass Hochkoenig is more expensive and offers nothing spectacular apart of the fact that you can also use the ski areas 150 km away (but who cares ???) I was very dissapointed that Saalbach / Hinterglem / Leogang and Maria alm are so close but you have to buy separate skipasses . That is nothing you expect. In my opinion it is a big a disadvantage. All the rest ok

Locality is quiet, good for skiing in winter, hiking in summer and also starting point for sightseeing trips near and far as there is close connection to highway in both (Salzburg/Wien) directions.

Different activities are possible near the apartment. With the hochköningcard it ia possible to take different lifts into the mountains. Even in different villages. With the card you can get discount on different activities. Naar the apartment the is a supermarket and a bakery.
