Everything. The room was comfy and clean. The breakfast was very good, especially the coffee and the staff was very friendly and helpful. At the enclosed restaurant, Babenbergerhof, the food was delicious as well. There is a seperate room to store the bikes as the hotel is directly near the danube bike trail.

Where to start? Amazing location with beautiful views. We could just sit and enjoy the views. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. Swimming pool was next to the second building of the hotel, just some meters to walk, there was refreshment, table tennis, bedminton.. We will come again, definitely.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful hills and fields around 10 minutes from any village of note which is great for peace/quiet, excellent for star gazing - be sure to catch sunrise/sunset! The surrounding area is well kept and perfect for a little stroll around. It's a very authentic feel to the extent that female staff wear traditional clothing, everyone is so helpful and friendly - special shoutout to the excellent Ivan. There's food and drinks readily available, long hours. Spa facilities - the brave can swim in the lake, there is an indoor pool which has an outdoor part too, a very well equipped gym & sauna. The spa area is open early didn't close until 11pm. Very easy parking.

Aside location, which is stunning, the place is huge and an absolute surprise. The rooms are big and bright, cozy and warm. We had dinner every evening in the restaurant and did not get disappointed. We totally recommend to take a property tour, it will help you understand better how that place runs and where did it started. We are absolutely pleased with the castle/fortress and with the people who keep that place running so good.

I really liked the common areas of the Hotel. Restaurant and outdoor area are super comfortable and cozy, and the food was delicious. The gardens and pool are excellent and clean. The room’s bathroom was very clean and it was great to have body moisturizer available. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of...

The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). For the food, we can recommend Pizzeria & Kebap Cimen.

Nice to walk around by the riversides and within the city. Restaurant "Mahlzeit in Melk" has friendly staff, worth to sit in if hungry. House on the rock is an interesting house, worth to wander and wonder it around.

The hotel was very clean and organized. The check in service via hotelomat was very convenient, fast, and efficient - for those who speak the languages indicated on it. I was wondering how would my mom manage if she arrived alone in midnight? In the morning the personnel was there, nice and smiling. So if you need a warm welcome in a cold winter night, choose another place to stay. Otherwise this is a perfect place for a traveler near the highway.

We were on the way to Budapest and for us Pöchlarn was a great stop. We also wanted to visit Melk Abbey and Pöchlarn was ideally placed for an afternoon tour. However, since we only stayed one night I cannot judge the village or its surroundings.

This is a nice and quiet place, if you are looking for just sleepin in. It offers parking, is modern/likely new and it offers very good breakfast. I enjoyed it in the end, despite I wasn’t thinking of sleeping in a ... gas station! Thank God, Danube and Dornstein are close, and one can drive less than 10 minutes to Melk and see a grandiose imperial castle and church!

Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. The Abbey gardens are also splendid. Walking around the town or on the banks of the Danube is a pleasure. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. You can also take cruises on the Danube.

This is real paradise!

This is real paradise! This B&B has beautiful garden, flowers are everywhere and in June Jasmine smells great. Breakfast is excellent. Melk Abbey that has one of the most beautiful in the world Baroque Church is only about 6 km away .

A lovely small and quiet town on the Danube left bank.

A lovely small and quiet town on the Danube left bank. The Abbey visit deserve more than one hour, in order to dedicate time for a stroll in the gardens; a plus if you know German, as part of the explanation are not translated. The town center is small, but we like-it, as we decide to stay over the night in Melk.
