Absolutely amazing with children and still the parents can have a bit of luxury as well. Ski in & ski out location is ideal! On site ski school for small kids is a game changer and the ski instructors are so attentive. Abundance of activities and facilities for children. Lovwly (adults only) spa on the 3rd floor allows for a break from the child friendly rest of the hotel.

I don't think we could've gotten a better place for our stay in Obertauern. This place is thought through to the micro detail. It lacks nothing and there are things that constantly delight your and surprise you. Every step from parking to checkin, to checkout was a breeze and easy. No friction. The views from our room were spectacular. Ample space for a couple. The bathroom is doorless and exposed to the rest of the room and usually I despise this in hotels but here I loved it. It actually was more convenient. And surprisingly didn't increase the humidity of the room too much as we feared.

Location (across the street to a gondola), cleanness, interiors, adult spa area (it was great that there was a separate area for kids), staff wes super kind and helpful. We liked bed decorations for valentines. We liked skiroom with dedicated lockers for each room. Garage was super convenient. If you want to ski after checkout and change before leaving - there are dedicated lockers and bathroom. We really enjoyed stay and definitely we will come back and recommend the hotel to our friends. Thank you!

Fantastic location right in the centre of everything, next to a skiing chairlift, Spar, ski hire shop and short walk to the apres-ski bars! Our accommodation was excellent very clean and although the rooms were basic we had everything we needed. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating and even though we’d arrived really early we were able to check in to our rooms which was great to catch up with some much needed sleep! Lovely sauna and breakfast and dinner were included in the price. Boot and ski rooms in the basement.

Extremely good localisation! The ski slopes are really just outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious! Saunas were always empty so we were able to use them. The swimmingpool has water at a very pleasant temperature. The gym was also usually empty and easily usable. It was very silent in the hotel. It is a very good option to buy dinners at the hotel as there is very limited number of other open restaurants in Obertauern!

We really liked the hotel, mainly it’s great location for skiing, very profesional and kind staff (especially Christoph :-)), very tasty and good looking food, the equipment and cleaning of the room (incl. radio music in the bathroom :-)), large inside pool and all the “atmosphere” of the hotel, that made you feel welcome at this special place.

Huge selection of food and all of it of exceptional quality (often organic). Super delicios and fine dining quality dinners. The wellness areas are also luxiorious with big tea and drink selection (for free). No matter what is the weather outside, you can spend a wonderful time inside the hotel with your family.

perfect location; ski in/out. friendly staff, they are always smiling and trying to help you. ski room is so good, you can leave your ski gears in private cabinet which works with your room key, so you dont need to carry them between your room-ski room.

Great restaurants, worth booking a table if you're in a larger group and they open later in the evening, like 5-6pm. Various menu options including vegan/vegetarian. On the slopes the bars are playing very loud music but serve quickly so you don't wait too long.

It is a very beautiful and quiet town.

It is a very beautiful and quiet town. Beautiful views of the mountains. Ideal for hiking. There is a very nice river that runs parallel to the main road. Maybe there should be an ice cream parlor in the summer. That would be nice.

If you want your skiing winter experience to be idyllic, be sure to book a room right here. Hotel on the trail + extraordinary food offer (breakfast, lunch, mid-meal and dinner) + activities and content for the youngest and super-friendly staff will make your annual event unforgettable. The possibility of leaving the hotel directly on the ski lift and already in the first slope to feel the perfect tracks or powder trails, simply magical. Plus, while Obertauern is covered in natural snow, other surrounding ski resorts don't offer nearly as much satisfaction.

Favourite places: the beautiful mountains, lakes around the walking trails, you can do paddle boarding on one of the lakes, free of charge hiring the board and paddle, breathtaking views Binggl Bakery: wide variety of pastries, bread and coffee, great place to have breakfast. Pink Flamingo: Delicious burgers and pizzas, tasty lemonades Freiwild: Friendly and fast service, delicious beef goulash/stew, pesto and mozzarella chicken, Cordon bleu, fresh mixed salad, hommade chocolate mousse, cottage cheese strudel and berries, great elderflower lemonade It is really easy to get around Obertauern with google maps Plan your visit at least for a week in summer, there is so much to do and the place is incredibly laid back and relaxing.
