Modern and beautiful hotel. All the facilities you’ll require during your stay are right there ready to use. Breakfast, pool and spa were fantastic and the bed was extremely comfortable. Easy access to train station/ski lift. The hotel is located down the hill but it’s an easy walk up or there’s a bus that can take you up. Would love to come back one day and will definitely recommend.

We commend this excellent hotel with high quality service. Kind personnel and an outsanding manager do their best to make our stay pleasant and memorable. Basking in the sun on the terrace of the hotel room facing the ski slopes after ski was truly relaxing, not mentioning the wellness area. The 5-course gourmet dinner is artistic and a real treat!

Wonderful facilities, particularly the swimming pools and sauna area, separate adults-only sauna area. Delicious and extensive breakfast buffet, high quality 4-course evening meal for only €20 extra, fantastic value, particularly the gala dinner. Location very close to lifts and ski shops - we used the ski depot at the lift station which was very conveniently located (next to the excellent Rambazambar) Friendly and efficient staff in restaurant and at reception, immaculately clean rooms and public areas. Non-skiers in the group enjoyed the daily (free) activities, including yoga and hikes. Skiers enjoyed the local Grossarl-Dorfgastein ski area, and easy 15 minute bus links to Alpendorf and Bad Hofgastein

Very nice hotel - situated just next to the slope, offering plenty of opportunities for skiing lovers. Very comfortable soundproof rooms with nice contemporary design and convenient beds. Good food with the big choice for breakfast and nice buffet concept of dinners. Very good equipment, offered by the rental shop, situated in the hotel. last but not least - very friendly and helpful personnel, creating special unforgettable vibe of the place. The staff was lovely and so hospitable, even opening up the outdoor heated pool area early when they saw we were swimming inside. The pools / playground / garden area /indoor play room is ideal for a stress-free break with the kids. Breakfast and dinner both really nice. Comfy beds. Awesome views. We wouldn't change a thing. Usually we don't revisit hotels, because they are rarely perfect, and it's more fun to keep exploring, but this is an exception. We will come back.

The room is super spacious and we loved especially the huge wardrobe. Seating area in the room is also very nice. The hotel has nice and spacious ski and ski-boot rooms. Breakfast was really rich and good. Parking is a little tricky in the village centre, but the hotel has sorted that out neatly in the surroundings, we have always been able to park comfortably and the walk from the parking is short from all options.

The whole experience was great. The hotel has a nice, cosy atmosphere all around, the food was good, varying every day and the staff were really helpful. The location is excellent, especially for beginners as one of the skiing schools is just across the street. We were there during a lower peak period so it was not crowded at all which was great. Definitely considering staying here again in the future.

Everything about this location is exceptional! Starting with the staff who were extremely nice and helpful with a great spirit and joy, amenities and facilities, gourmet food, the Feuerbar which organized on the Easter week-end an amazing BBQ. I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

A nice little town with history.

A nice little town with history. The city walls and towers are still there to see. You can walk around the old city center and read about the history of the town. There are several restaurants and café. One could go to a cinema or go listening to the music, but this is to be checked in advance. Hiking in the mountain forests or cycling - this is what you do here. There are downhill ski routes, but we were in summer and could not say anything about these. Within an hour of driving you can reach popular touristic places around, like Dachstein, Hallstadt, Pongau or Salzburg.

A quiet and secluded place, lovely for hiking and views. I guess in winter it is good for skiing, we went in September and stayed for 2 nights, which seemed just right, as there are not that many options for bars and restaurants in the village.

Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part west of the river was essentially a huge building site. However it was great for mountain walking once away from the town itself. With a guest card (free from your accommodation) one can travel on local buses in the valley for 1 Euro per person per trip! There is a very adequate Billa supermarket.

We were there for a winter sky holiday. Location is very good - not too far from our country. Slopes are exactly what we need - red-blu, with fast lifts and not crowded of people even on a pick of Christmas period . All the area is a great value for money and we will definitely come back. Apreski bar at the slope next to the gondola is super party place after ski and we spended there our evenings with much emotions. We visited also Therme and it was a great experience- at this time there was a laser show and disco party - great experience for any ages. At the center we found some good restaurants and pizza places for dinner. Our stay was too short for more but we will come back to continue..

A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.
