Location is unbeatable (make sure you get a water view room, totally worth it), service was absolutely faultless, Gregor at checking made us feel so welcome, then at dinner the host, Paul, came to greet us, again very welcoming. The waiter was absolutely great, our wild garlic soup was marvellous. Breakfast was awesome. Cannot fault this place. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality, team Peter!

Amazing staff, perfect breakfast (those waffles were something else!), a spotless pool with just the right water temperature, a great bar, and everything absolutely pristine. Amazing location! 5 minutes walking from a parking if you come to Hallstatt by car and 3 minutes walking to center of Hallstatt. The instructions for check-in are very clear. The room exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and every detail was cared for. The views to the lake were beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed the views of the mountains, swans and lake. The service was marvelous! It is an amazing place to rest. Definitely, we will stay at Polreich if we return to Hallstatt.

The Ebner's Waldhof am See Resort & Spal has very spacious family rooms. The spa area, especially the heated pool, is magnificent. You can come to lunch in a terry robe straight from the spa area. I really liked the food - a large variety of tasty and healthy food - you can even make your own smoothie from apples, carrots, sellerei and ginger. For dinner, you can choose from several menus, including vegetarian cuisine. Dinner dishes are served and decorated at the level of Michelin 5 stars. Every day the hotel has a new plan of events. The hotel is run by a family, their care and attention are present in every corner of the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm, welcoming and friendly.

The property is located in the middle of the main square of Hallstatt, a beautiful place. We booked the room with a balcony to the main square and do not regret, the view is spectacular. The property offers a pick up from P1 (which we ended up not using), we parked at P3 instead and walked to the property, a 15 min walk along their main street. The restaurant of the hotel is very nice with good food.

Cozy and super clean and friendly. Welcome champagne, free mini bar and breakfast. Everything was so well arranged, beautiful art pieces and amazing lake view through room window . This hotel makes our trip a super great ending. It definitely worthy coming back again. If there is one thing can improve: suggest to have an easy access for luggage instead of stairs.

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days.

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days. The lake is wonderful to go boating on. Hopefully the cable car up to the top of the hill is working soon. The hike is suitable for young adults and up to fit 70 year olds. The food eatery are lovely but check out the ones behind the main street.

I was uncertain how to find my hotel and a woman who was on...

I was uncertain how to find my hotel and a woman who was on my bus went out of her way to help me. On another occasion, I couldn't find a restaurant and a resident took the time to show me. I ended up not eating there, but at Eden, where she had asked for directions. The pizza there was one of the best I have ever had (and I've had a lot). A boat ride on Wolfgangsee is a must, as is taking the cog railway to the top of the mountain and admiring the scenery. Also, spend time walking or sitting by the lake, very calming. And be sure to drop by the Blue Lake Sports Outlet for amazing bargains and a very lovely shopkeeper.

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to...

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to Obertraun in order to visit Hallstat. Unfortunately, the transportation wasn't very convenient for us. One of the trains that we had arranged was late and we had to wait two more hours in order to get the last train to Obertraun. We departed from Vienna at 8:00 and we arrived to Obertraun at 15:30! Obertraun was very close to Hallstat. Hallstat is a magical place but next time I would prefer to visit it by car.

Nice old town that has nice stores and good restaurants to go. I liked the Christmas decoration in the town center. Bad Ischl is a good place to stay and drive around to some other towns like Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen, Dachstein and Badausee

Perfect location, very easy to find , countless free parking spaces. Immaculate. Very good restaurant. Highly recommended for couples. The only drawback is confirmation of reservation needed by verifying your credit card.

Such a wonderful place.

Such a wonderful place. Beautiful buildings and great cafes and restaurants. The Traunsee tram makes public transportation easy. The only downside is the short term parking, so got to look for pricey underground parking or free parking lots which are far away.

Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.

Walk around the Bürglstein is very nice and calming. City itself is much calmer than the other ones (St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang), but still there is everything what would you need, water fun, grocery store, ice cream stand.

In Bad Aussee there are several places to eat or buy groceries. Whithin a few minutes you reach a lake to swim or a beginning of a hiking path. Good position for visiting Hallstadt, Bad Ischl or Salzburg. If you want to have dinner in a restaurant it is good to make a reservation otherwise you may have a problem to get seats.
