THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. Despite the construction, we personally really liked the hotel. Amazing balcony view, the breakfast was really good and Wirtshaus menu as well. The stuff was friendly.Looking forward to see the upgrade’s hotel.

Gmundnerberghaus is amazing! We were breathtaken by our first glimpse of Traunsee from the property—it was like something out of a dream. Even though there was no staff on-site, the self-check-in and key pick-up were smooth. (At first, the quiet, empty hotel and peaceful surroundings gave us a bit of a thrill after our long drive!) The free minibar was a great touch, especially when no stores or restaurants were nearby. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options, all beautifully arranged. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

A beautiful apartment with everything you could need. The little deck was a bonus and you have views over the rooftops to the lake. The complex was secure and safe. There was nothing that we didn’t like. Highly recommend it. It was a nice walk around to Gmunden which took about 45 minutes.

The location, the room was well appointed and clean, I could leave my luggage at the bakery downstairs on the last day and go hiking.
