Such amazing and cute place! We loved it! The room was very clean, they offer gym and sauna for free, and there is also nice bar inside the hotel if you wanna drink some beer with good music. The team is very kind and helpful. They give you lot of information about places to visit in the area. There is also free parking and good wifi connectivity. In my opinion the images not really show how awesome is this place. They have old part of the building, so maybe they didn’t update the images of the new part. Highly recommend!

    THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation.     I know this hotel well. I stay there when returning from motorbike trips to the Alps. A family-run hotel with very good food and comfortable rooms overlooking the lake. You feel the atmosphere of a place managed for years by the Grunberg family. It is a pleasure to return here. Close to the lake and the lifts to the mountains. Like the whole lake area an excellent holiday destination. Recommended for motorcyclists!

    Everything was just fine - nice clean room, great breakfast and dinner, just 10-15 mins walk to the very center of the town. The fitness room is great - I was able to do my regular fitness exercises as usual. And the swimming pool is amazing - quite long for such a small hotel. Next time in Gmunden will defined stay here again

    Everything was great! Great staff as well as the hotel itself. Convenient location, close to the city tram station! Also, there is a 10 km hiking trail to Lake Laudach. From the train station it is an hour's train ride to the magical city of Hallstatt. Overall, I recommend trying to come back again!

    I love the little town. Lovely square. Nice walk around the like. If you love hiking the place to visit. So much to do. Easy access. People were very nice and helpful. I didn't have a great weather but as they say it's not bad weather but wrong clothes 😆.

    The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable. and the bathroom was great- excellent shower pressure! We had access to an elevator which helped with the bags and we had a fantastic view of the area on the top floor along with a balcony. I had a minor issue with the reservation on booking.com and the manager/ owner was very accommodating and helped me resolve it. I would highly recommend this property. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

    Small town, in which people great each others warmly. Close to Feuerkogel - nice ski area and to larger cities - Bad Ischl and Gmunden, for either relaxion visits or shopping. A warm feeling of visiting your grandparents.

    In November you do not have much to do there.

    In November you do not have much to do there. We found only on restaurant and one café house open, nothing else. I did not get why any (zero!) souvenir shop is not existing there - I am sure tourists would appreciate to buy some small souvenirs and support the local business by doing this.

    A quiet residential village on the more mountainous southern...

    A quiet residential village on the more mountainous southern end of the Traunsee, picturesquely embedded in its dramatic surroundings. Wooden boat houses fringe the water's edge like an ancient lake village, and there is a small campsite, bathing beach and beach cafe. Rindbach invites an evening stroll, with enough quaint and traditional cottages and villas along some of its small streets to transport you to another time. For practical facilities (shops, tourist information, train station), the small town of Ebensee is less than a mile away, and for summer walking and as a base to discover the area, I reckon it's probably a more relaxed option than the more famous nearby tourist spots like Bad Ischl or Wolfgangsee. Don't miss a trip to the nearby Langbaht lakes for a swim!

    It’s a lovely town with access to the lake and a local rail/tram network. Various cultural activities and we timed it nicely for the annual ceramics fair. We used it as a base from which to travel to visit friends locally but it was relaxing and a lovely stay.

    Altmünster is nice village next to lake Traunsee with all its beauty that an Alpine settlement can have. Narrow streets, charming country houses with marvelous gardens, no crowd and fresh air. You can take a (steep) ride on to Gmundnerberg (the mountain backing the village) on foot, by bike or by car. Gmunden the neighboring city is a the treasure of the area, good cafes, breweries, restaurants and lakeside promenade with fountain, from where you can get to Grunberg hill with a cable car (lift) to the top and take some refreshing walks from 30min to 3 hrs. We really enjoyed being there and look forward to revisiting it soon.

    Gmunden is an amazing undiscovered place which deserves a larger tourist crowd than it currently has. It is the best place to stay in Salzkammergut as it allows easy access to all attractions in the region, but still this is a town and not a village.
