We always try to stay in a boutique hotel when we travel. This ticks all the boxes from room to facilities and the most friendlies of staff. Close proximity to restaurants and if you're lucky enough to be there on a Friday, a fresh produce market in the town square just outside the front door. great location, easy access from parking. good instructions and quick replies on few questions I had. no breakfast included but several alternatives in nearby cafés. really tidy rooms and friendly owners. just avoid the rush hour from Liechtenstein as you might be queueing for an extra hour

The location is very good and close to the train station. The decorations are modern, but with a nice traditional touch. The hotel offers a lot of options how to spend your time: actively or more relaxing. The personal is very nice, polite and helpful. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the HOLZGAU HOUSE! Christine is an exceptional host looking at every detail to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay. The food and views are amazing as well as for those who ski, the Arlberg area is a great skiing resort. Cannot recommend this place enough!

    This is a great place! Beautiful location, and the staff takes excellent care of it. Clean modern rooms with nice views. The restaurant offers several options for dinner and all of excellent taste. Local products are used. Great advice from the sommeliere for Austrian wines. Excellent breakfast. Huge spa area, swimming pool and garden. Hiking, biking, sightseeing - lots of options nearby. Staff is polite, friendly and well-trained.

    We arrived too late for the normal check-in. I contacted the hotel via Booking the moment I saw we were running late, they answered quickly and arranged everything for us. It was just a short stopover for us. We left immediately after breakfast, which was a nice buffet and extra options to order from the kitchen. The view from our room was magical ❄️✨️

    Very nice staff, very good food (we had the demi-pension), location is good for trips and when snow for ski. All is clean, restaurant is modern, afternoon cake very good. Room very spacious and with a view. nice bathroom with toiletries. Opening times very friendly. They have kids program, even though for our stay we did not attend.

    The locatoin is absolutely perfect! There’s a bus stop less than a 2 minute walk away. The views from the room were beautiful. The sauna and steam rooms were a huge bonus! The food was really good and the staff was super helpful. Will definitely be staying there again.

    Close to Bregenz and Bodensee (Lake Constance), perfect location to explore the region without moving your car. Our hotel provided Voralberg card during our stay, so buses/trains are free. Wide selection of nice restaurants are in the centre.

    Quaint village that I wish I’d had more time to explore for walking and nature. We were looking for a local experience as we like to see how people in an area live. We were very happy with our choice to visit and enjoyed authentic Austrian cuisine and lodging while visiting.

    Useful stepping off point for experiencing the Montafon area on foot; or, as a base for exploring Montafon by bus or car. Trains to Tschagguns / Schruns are easy. I went London - Paris (Eurostar) - Zurich (TGV Lyria) - Bludenz - Tschagguns in one day. In Tschagguns I like the the Gasthof Lowen (Austrian food) and Dimis the greek restaurant. The pizza place is fine too but the others are I think the best!

    One of the best ski areas in Europe. Extensive high quality lift system, lots of variation in terrain and piste altitude, difficultly and length. The lift system and pistes are at one with their mountain setting.

    Definitely a place to be there.

    Definitely a place to be there. To discover Vorarlberg it’s the central point, you not far from everything. And Hohenems itself is nice and interesting with a Jewish Museum and some more tourist attractions.

    Cute clean little town flanked by mountains. Pedestrian-only quarters very charming with chic boutiques and smack bakeries/cafes. We did not have enough time to trudle explore the town as our hotel was located in nearby Stallehr. Tip: Fine dining, Golf and RVing in nearby Braz, at Hotel Traube.

    We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025.

    We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025. It was a coincidence that the Hafen Fest was on those days, and I cannot judge what is Bregenz usually like. For us there were too many people on the lake shore... but I know some people love this. The best places for me, must-sees: 1. Pfänderbahn (in good weather) 2. Lake shore (always, but especially at sunset) 3. Old downton (and Uppertown) We went everywhere on foot, and it suited us perfectly well.

    We were only there for a one night stopover.

    We were only there for a one night stopover. Had a walk around to find a dinner and saw there was more to the village than we thought. Found a great Chinese restaurant. The town has all necessary amenities, reasonable prices and very close to Bregenz.
