Very cozy and nicely furnished apartment (lived in room 7) with suitable size and separate bedroom, living room and kitchen, as well as a very nice bathroom. Beautiful grounds and pool area, excellent location with short distance to beach, shopping, restaurants and harbour. It was like an instant second home! The apartment is completely newly renovated and the interior design is beautiful. Right in the heart of Port Douglas, so you are everywhere within minutes, but also quite. Perfect mix! The Jacuzzi Bathtub is great after another day of adventures.     I loved the location, right on the beautiful beach, set in tropical vegetation, with birds moving around the branches, singing and swawking. The public areas such as the bar, swimming pool and spa were lovely and well maintained. The food and drinks were excellent, an interesting menu for very reasonable prices and imaginative cocktails. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and they ensured a smooth check in when I arrived late to my room. The atmosphere is very friendly as typified by the dinners with other guests on the long tables.

    Spacious, fully equipped, proper luxury apartment with all mod cons. We greatly enjoyed the BBQ, along with the kitchen facilities and the full-size fridge freezer with ice/water dispenser. The location is central but quiet, with a pleasant evening aspect from the balcony, of the land rather than the sea. The local 'strip' is but a short walk away, if that's more your thing.

    Fantastic accommodation with an amazing pool! The Pool Resort is a great base to explore the area including 4 mile beach. A car is needed to get into the central town but you can use e-scooters or the local taxi service as an alternative. The fabulous local St Crispins coffee and Beach Shack are walkable. We'll definitely be returning.

    Loads of beautiful restaurants, shops and places to visit.

    Loads of beautiful restaurants, shops and places to visit. Greta spot to have as a base to visit surrounding areas. People were all really nice and helpful. We ate at Jungle Fowl awesome food, Tin Shed was great place to meet up with friends to enjoy the waterfront and the food was lovely, and Han Court Chinese was scrumptious. We did day trips to Cairns to catch boat to Fitzroy Island and enjoyed lunch there, had an amazing dinner at Coco's Kitchen in Cairns that night we both had a Lobster that was superb. Caught the train from Freshwater Station to Kuranda for the day, we paid for Gold Class which served great local food and drinks, fab trip up and back. We also did a Sunset cruise out of Port Douglas on Lady Douglas, that was nice.

    We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)

    Cottonwood is like an estate all to yourself, well- and fully-appointed, in close proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree & the rainforest. More than enough amenities. It might be considered "expensive" by some but not by us, not for what you get for your money. Amenities? It does not lack any and actually exceeds what most would consider "more-than-enough", much less "the basics". And the Hosts are just that, to a tee: Helpful beforehand and during our stay. Thank you very much.

    Port Douglas great place to visit. There is so much on offer to do. Can relax at local eateries or venture outdoors, cruises. Visit The Mosman Gorge, Daintree, other local beaches, etc etc. Plenty to do if you wish or just relax.

    Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...

    Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.

    Walking distance to everything, easy to get around, plenty of choices for places to eat as well as a great Cole's supermarket. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be. A road trip to Daintree, Cape Tribulation and the Wildlife Discovery Centre is easily done in a day. A boat trip up the Dickson Inlet is a fun and informative thing to do. Snorkelling out on the reef is a must if you have never done it.

    Mossman Gorge is very pretty and worth a visit. Recommend Mandy and Chris' Mossman Gorge B & B. Goodies Cafe is a nice place to have a snack or lunch. Owners and Staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is good too.
