I recently had the pleasure of staying at Treetops Montville, and I can confidently say it was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the beauty of the surroundings, making it a true nature lover's paradise.
One of the highlights of our stay was the thoughtful birthday decorations that we had requested. It was such a delightful surprise to walk into our accommodation and find it beautifully adorned. It truly made the occasion feel special and memorable.
The fridge was stocked with an impressive array of breakfast goodies and wine bottles—far more than I had ever encountered in any other holiday stay. It was such a treat to have everything we needed right at our fingertips, making our mornings leisurely and enjoyable.
The location itself is nothing short of breathtaking. The soothing sounds of the nearby creek added a serene ambiance that made our stay even more relaxing. If you appreciate the beauty of nature, Treetops Montville is a must-visit destination.
The swimming pool was another fantastic feature, offering a perfect blend of privacy and tranquility. It was the ideal spot to unwind and soak up the stunning surroundings.

We are over from the Uk visiting our son and family who live on the Sunshine Coast. We wanted to have a short break away and chose The Clouds because we loved the idea of being in the rain forest. We stayed in one of the deluxe cottages which are separate from the main hotel and you really feel in the rain forest!
The cottage was very comfortable and clean with a lovely comfy large bed. The bath in the room was great too and so lovely to look out on the lush canopy listening to the sounds of the forest. The air conditioning worked well but we also loved sitting out on the verandah too!( don’t forget to bring insect repellent if you want to sit out in the evening)
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to make a basic supper/ breakfast !
The staff, including Susie, Bree and the cleaners were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Our stay at Narrows Escape was pure perfection! The service was beyond exceptional—we were treated to complimentary champagne, chocolates, roses, cheese, and freshly baked croissants every morning. They even offered personal drives into town and on excursions, making our stay effortless, luxurious and well worth it.
Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the hospitality was truly five-star.
Montville is also a really cute little town with good restaurants and services, would come back!

no wishes left open, the perfect bungalow and interior, the quiet, scenic setting with the little things here and there, the kangaroos grazing, the delicious breakfast... all obviously well maintained.
As we had on the first day extremely heavy rain that had several roads flooded (so we were nearly locked in), the couple running the nearby cafe came and asked if we needed anything like food ... really took care. This place is like in a dream - full score.

Located close to the historic village on the Montville Maleny scenic drive. Lush green, has a tropical rainforest on premises, beautifully landscaped. Inspired by French luxury.
Has an amazing restaurant Long Apron on the property. The staff is very nice, knowledgeable and gives great recommendations.
Around the property, lots of scenic drives, walks and activities in a 30 minute radius, in the Sunshine coast hinterlands.

Everything was amazing! The location is great and close to Maleny and Montville for little trips as well as finding waterfalls.
The cottage was spectacular and the views from the daybed were magical, especially when I fractured my ankle on a walk and had to spend the next day relaxing out on the balcony.
Daily breakfast delivered to the room was delicious and the service and care from Emily was beyond expectations.

If you are not desperate for a beach resort you should try Montville Falls. the hosts were fantastic and the place beyond beautiful. Lovely breakfast, quiet and a lot of space. We hardly wanted to leave the place for necessary tourist attractions..

Pool was a beautiful spot, tucked in a bungalow. The shower was the best , hot and torrential in no time, the shower will definitely be missed. Staff are flexible and happy people . It was nice to be greeted with a smile.

Maleny is a lovely town which still feels like a community...
Maleny is a lovely town which still feels like a community while having a bakery, an IGA, art galleries, a lot of restaurants to choose from. They have all types of accommodation on the edge of the town centre where we stayed but also in the middle of town.
The IGA was a godsend when we lost our power due to the storms as we had brought food with us that would have spoiled if we couldn't get ice. IGA remained open (assumed that they had a big generator) so we were able to get ice and was able to save our food.
Very friendly people in all of the shops and stores we went into which was just lovely.

A beautiful country town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Montville & Maleny are fantastic for a get away relaxing holiday. The Bird avery and botaniv gardens, Mary Cairncross Reserve, The Barrel Winery, Flame Hill Estate Winery, the restaurant choices and the quaint shopping streets make a pleasant trip. Is only a 30 minute drive to the beaches.

Nambour is an old established town but it provides easy and quick access to the Sunshine Coast( around 20 mins to the Sunshine Coast airport) where accommodation could be considerably more expensive. My stay in the Nambour Heights Motel was directly opposite the Nambour Hospital and relatively close to other places in the area. It was 11 minutes from the Buderim Ginger Factory and very close to the Big Pineapple. Also close to the Bli Bli water ski park which appeared to be a huge complex.

The main attraction in Beerwah is Australia Zoo but we actually skipped the zoo this time and opted out for a quieter and more peaceful trip. There are so many beautiful landscapes and walks to enjoy in the area and it's only a short drive to Maleny or Montville as well. If you are seeking a relaxing experience, I'd definitely recommend visiting those two little towns. We enjoyed the Thai Restaurant in Maleny and strolls through the streets of Montville followed by a hearty lunch at The Edge Restaurant. We also visited the Botanic Gardens & Bird Sanctuary in Maleny which was AMAZING!

Situated in the hinterland mountains of the Sunshine Coast, this area has great appeal. Good restaurants, boutique shops, and wonderful scenic walks, or for the less active, plenty of scenic drives.
Whether swimming under waterfalls, or enjoying excellent food this area is an excellent choice.

Flaxton is in a great spot if you like to hike.
Flaxton is in a great spot if you like to hike. I did the great walk from maleny to gheerullafalls in 3 days. I saw all of the waterfalls in the area too.
It's such a magical place if you're keen for an adventure. Try to head up there after heaps of rain because the waterfalls were amazing when I was up there. I had the best trip.
Konadilla was my favourite waterfall in the area.
All of the hikes were amazing though.
The pizza shop at mapelton is so good. It has a great view off the top of the mountain too.
I hiked by myself and my trip was amazing.

We go to Maleny reasonably often and we love the area. There are some great cafes, and interesting shops, events, and places to visit. Don't miss visiting Mary Cairncross Park, including the excellent cafe, and the Maleny Botanic Gardens.
