wonderful place in Sarajevo. is located on a hill, so you need to take it in you mind when walking with children and elderly people. The property is located 10-15 minutes walk from Bascarsija and Vijecnica, 30 minutes from famous Latin bridge. The hotel is suitable for families with children. Staff was very helpful accommodating my stay after my flight was diverted back to the destination due to bad weather. Pick up from and to the airport was really helpful. Location of the hotel is great, right across from the old town with access to most of the sights. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choices. Room was spacious with good temperature control despite being snowing outside.

    I highly recommend a free walking tour at the beginning of your stay because you learn about the history and present day situation in Sarajevo. Another must is a visit to the Memorial Gallery Srebrenica exhibition. The audio guide and films provide personal experiences of the 1992 conflict and you come away with a better understanding of what it must have been like.

    Mountain Bjelašnica is a breathtaking mountain known for its stunning natural beauty, fresh air, and panoramic views. Tall pine trees and scenic trails make it a perfect place for relaxation and adventure. However, in recent years, the mountain has changed. Too many buildings have been constructed, damaging the peaceful atmosphere. While the architecture may be modern, there is not enough meaningful content or attractions for visitors. There are few cultural activities, limited outdoor sports options, and not enough playground for kids to enjoy. As a result, the mountain feels overcrowded yet empty at the same time. It needs a better balance between development and nature to truly shine again.

    If you're looking for a remote location with a focus on nature, you can't go wrong with staying in Igman. Just be careful as there are always some dogs to meet in your walks, they're harmless but can be intimidating having a group come near to you.

    The location is very charming, very beautiful. The neighbors are very friendly and hospitable, and everyone welcomes us. We felt that we were really among our family and relatives. I advice all friends to visit Bosnia and specially the nice place Ilijas .

    For historic and cultural reasons it is important to visit Sarajevo for Europeans but perhaps also for others. You can see a lot in 1 or 2 days but of course more time allows for understanding Bosnia (and the Western Balkans) which is essential.

    Prekrasno skijalište, staze lijepo pripremljene, drže dosta dobro i na +13. Ima dosta gužve, a s obzirom na izgradnju koja je u tijeku, valjalo bi dodati još staza. Odvoz smeća sumnjivo funkcionira i nedostaje pekara. Ljudi su izuzetno ljubazni i osjećaš se zaista dobrodošao! Savršeno za odmor s malom djecom koja još nisu pravi skijaši.

    Sarajevo is a lovely place to visit, with many interesting things to see and experience- the walks along the canal, the interesting and historical museums, the bustling markets, the great food and beautiful scenery, there is a lot to savour. We wish we had known about the Olympic village high above the valley which you can reach via cable car or by car, and just hike along the various pathways which were originally the ski and bobsled slopes. We discovered this on our last day so couldn’t spend much time there. Would love to go back and explore the area.
