The location and view of the hotel were stunning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Since we had to leave the hotel early on the last day, they prepared sandwiches and treats for us. Additionally, instead of a forest view, they gave us a room with a mountain view. Moreover, I highly recommend trying the hotel’s restaurant.

Definately I liked the location of the place. Murren is a picturesque village in the mountain with nice gift shops and cafes. It was pleasure to spend time there and we would like to come back one day. Although it is no car zone and the only way to get there was by car cable and train, it was worth staying there. Nevertheless, travelling to the hotel this way was an enoyable adventure :) The staff was really helpful and supportive. Regarding alimentation, the restaurant in the hotel was brilliant. We had dinner and breakfast with the amazing mountains view. The dishes were delicious and made with heart. We reccomend this place with no hesitation.

The hotel is brand new, modern and very comfortable. The breakfast is very complete, and all day there is free coffee, tea etc. There is an honesty bar if you like more. The rooms are a 10/10, super comfortable bed, very nice shower. Its so nicely decorated. The hotel is maybe 15-20 mins walk uphill from village center and there s also a free bus going every 15 minutes.

    Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass). Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit). I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great! Breakfast was very nice as well. One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

    Giessbach is like stepping into a fantasy. The place is fabulous and the interior of the hotel is very butiful. Great nature and beautiful lake surrounding the place. The dinner was great with live, classical music accompanying great food and service.     An authentic, discrete luxurious mountain village which beats many others we have visited, skied and hiked over the years. Unique in its´location, dramatic mountain views everywhere, variety of walks and activities including summer glacier hikes, caves and sport/spa facilities with excellent dining after activities. A well-organised bus route brings you to every corner and the closest town of Interlaken is just half ´n hour drive or a train journey away.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. At night, when the day tours have left, you can have the village "all for yourself" and that experience was almost divine.

    Wengen is a perfect spot to make home base while you explore the Lauterbrunnen and Jungfrau region. This car free village is easily accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen, where you find a relatively cheap car park and train access to Interlaken. Wengen felt less crowded than Mürren or Lauterbrunnen in the valley. There are numerous restaurants, stores, and two grocery stores in town to stock up on essentials. Getting around the area is easy thanks to the train and the Männlichen gondola.

The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests.     We only stayed at Brienz for one night en route between other places that we were visiting. The area has a lot of character with lovely old buildings and is on the shore of one of the many big lakes. It was very quiet during our brief stay, being in the period between the summer and winter seasons for tourists. We had just one evening meal which was a very tasty pizza.

    Mürren was a great jumping off point for many hikes and adventures in the area, but was much more laid-back and less crowded than Lauterbrunnen. At the same time, it had plenty of shops, groceries, restaurants for our needs.
