When you approach the village you will be in amazement by the Castle of Tarasp that you see set high up on a rocky hill! Then when you arrive at the hotel, it looks like a scene from a fairy-tale! Beautiful flowers everywhere and the structure of the building is very pleasing to the eye! The staff are super friendly and very kind! They will make sure that you are having a wonderful time! I was surprised when I saw my room and the spectacular view from the windows! I had the single room with the four-poster bed and no detail was spared! The architecture in my room was amazing and beautiful woodwork too! The bed even had a remote control so you could sit up or put your feet up! Nice stereo system too! When you look out the windows you see snow capped peaks, a beautiful lake, green pastures and if you stick your head out the window and look to your right, you see the most Amazing view of the medieval Tarasp Castle! There's a beautiful garden filled with flowers located on different levels of the property! When you're walking through the halls, staircase and dining rooms, you will be taken back in time by all of the pictures and alpine memorabilia! The place is just so colorful to look at! There are picturesque hikes all around the quaint little village! Breakfast and dinner were very delicious too! When I come back to this area, I will stay here again! Scuol itself is surrounded by some lovely smaller villages and on a future visit I believe I'd choose to stay in accommodations in one of these. It is the Alpine beauty surrounding Scuol that is the real attraction, not anything in town. The hotel has some construction underway just behind it, overlooked by the balconies for each room. When I arrived, I requested a different room, higher up and farther away from the noise and dust, and the management was extremely accommodating. They also allowed me to extend my stay by a night upon request and I very much appreciated the flexibility. The view from the balcony of my second room was exquisite. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings clean and basic, the room size sufficient and breakfast was plentiful, if also basic and unoriginal. The venison dinner I had the second night was delicious, perfectly cooked, but pricey (40 euros). The garage was convenient, they accepted my small dog and there's a large public spa connected to the hotel, although I didn't have time to use it. All in all, a good very good choice for a few nights in an amazingly lovely place.Guest review bySydneyUnited States

Sent is an interesting mosaic.
Sent is an interesting mosaic. It is a small village situated on a high terrace above the En River in the Lower Engagin region. Its threads include farmers, artists/artisans, families, retirees and visitors. The tourist economy supports the village but doesn't define it; that's not always the case in Swiss mountain towns. nice base for walks in the area. Walking around Scuol involves little climbing and descending. It is recommended to take the elevator up and then walk to Prui. This is also a very easy gentle descent, feasible for all types of hikers. For the challenge you go from Prui to Ftan, but we took the chairlift. There are plenty of options for eating out in the center of Scuol. However, restaurants do not open until 6 p.m. and reservations are recommended.Guest review byC.WNetherlands
