The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Their cheeriness was infectious. A true asset to whoever owns the hotel. The room was very well appointed and decorated. Bathroom and shower were very good and spotlessly clean. Because of our travel plans, we didn't have breakfast but the garden/dinning area was also very well appointed. Would definitely stay here again.

We reach hotel about 10am, the staff was very friendly and good they try to let us early check in after we had 16h long flight to Lugano. And the breakfast is good have many choices. Great location just beside the station. Definitely will book again if I go travel again. I will know this hotel because is recommended by my parents they also stay here on last year and recommend us.

The hotel had recently been renovated it was absolutely spotless it was perfectly positioned for our travel needs. Baldomero and his wife the owners was brilliant nothing was too much trouble we ate in the restaurant at night and the food was superb there was a very good selection for breakfast including scrambled eggs the coffee was very good I would highly recommend this hotel also lastly the WiFi was excellent 👍

    We had a fantastic stay, myself, my wife and our 3 dogs (two Labrador’s and a Great Dane cross Saint Bernard). Only had to pay 100chf for the dogs in total for the night. They had also left out 3 dog beds big enough for all our dogs and a little treat bag for each of them, they were incredibly accommodating. For dog owners it’s a perfect hotel to stay at.

The hotel is in a great location just outside of Ascona, great views of the lake, has a great breakfast and while we didnt eat there the restaurant for dinner looked very good.     I think Locarno is going to be one of the new tourist hotspots in the next decade. This spot is beautiful. Amazing lakeside retreat on the alps - the views are not comparable to anything I have ever seen. I loved that it was less crowded than most lakeside European cities I have been to - and think this is a great stop if you are in the Como/Milan area. 10/10 recommend for some relaxation, rejuvenation, and a vacation you won't forget.

    Ascona is really beautiful and has lots of options for travelers, especially in the summer months. Visitors can walk around the city and see museums (the Museo Comunale d'Arte Moderna and Museo San Materno have really excellent collections!), listen to music and have a meal or a drink at any number of places in the main piazza, hang out at the bagno pubblico or lido, or take a short but to Locarno. I stayed during the Locarno Film Festival and really enjoyed how relaxed Ascona felt and less busy compared to Locarno during this particular period. The views of the lake are incredible, it's a special place.

    A great town with 3 castles to explore a great old town railway station walkable to old town. A town you can walk mostly but there are also buses. A number of restaurants and on a Saturday morning there is the market in the piazza

    Aiolo is probably beautiful in the snow and it has superb trails up behind in the countryside with Swiss cows wearing bells and mountain goats. Lovely old houses and probably once a delightful place. Sadly now dominated by a huge concrete factory and all the noise and dust that entails. Better to stay at the San Gottardo hotel probably, which is actually ON the pass itself, or above the pass.

    Losone is the underrated, non-touristy part of Ascona and Locarno. It is, therefore, where many residents live because it is quiet, with great access to the Maggia river. The best tip is to walk along the river. It is very well connected by bus, so if you want an area that is safe but above all affordable, then this is the area to stay. Ascona is expensive for what is literally a 5 minute bus ride away. From Losone you can equally head to Locarno as well as Ascona, or indeed go into one of the many valleys.

    Stylish and functional room with a warm atmosphere. Breakfast was well-balanced and tasty, with good options for all diets. The whole property was extremely clean and tidy. A perfect blend of comfort and charm; every aspect exceeded expectations.

    You must take a swim in the lake.

    You must take a swim in the lake. Near the parking garage is a swimming platform. The lake is perfect. Don't test the water first, Don't dip a toe. Take a few steps back, run, jump high, Dive in a resurface a human reborn. Months latter I still think about that dive in the water in the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. The town is expensive. But If your traveling through. Stop my kid love car spotting from the cafes.

    Saturday market - make sure you get there latest 11-ish as they seem to pack up around 15:00-16:00 (winter time) Cafe Ofele a great place for coffee and cake and chilling on the cool swing chairs. Massage at Ashe Olistic di Mariela Walking along the riverside is so beautiful Just be aware of opening/closing time of restaurants Just browse and have fun

    Lugano is a beautiful place, wonderful lake surrounded by mountains. It's a great place for a relaxing few days, away from the busier parts of Europe. There's plenty to do, including wonderful lake cruises.
