Beautiful, clean, fresh smell of wood in the room. The shower was excellent. The entire facility is beautiful and clean with great service on top of a mountain in Switzerland. The funicular that brings you up to the lodge is so cool with the best views. There is a parking lot at the bottom of the mountain at the funicalar entrance for 14 francs/day. The lodge is right next to the funicular. The breakfast buffet is really good quality extra charge. Beautiful hiking trails.

It was an exceptional experience. The hotel location is in Meggen 12 minutes away by bus to Central Lucern. The view, the cleanliness and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Miss Leean. Good food and breakfast The hostess was caering and attentive during all morning encounters. we enjoyed our time at the hotel. It is recommended if you don't mind the stairs.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful town. We stayed in a duplex room, which was nice and comfortable. There was no refrigerator or minibar in the room, but this was mentioned in the description. We arrived late, so we used the self-check-in option. There was free parking on site. Breakfast was served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It included everything you need for such a small and cozy hotel

We stayed here only for the one night but it was amazing experience. The owner of this hotel is very nice and friendly, the view on the mountains is gorgeous and the diner was so big that I’ve barely finished my dish. The hotel itself looks like it had renovations pretty recently (no mold in the bathroom or any kind of dirt on the walls etc.) Our room was super clean and cozy. Wonderful.

Everything was simply perfect: delicious, clean, friendly, beautiful, but what surprised me most was that the managers really listened to people's comments here! Can you imagine, it turns out there are managers in this world who really improve the service after complaints from guests!? 😁 And absolutely everything I read here about the hotel before checking in, absolutely all the wishes of previous guests, were met and fulfilled. Our stay at Château Gütsch was wonderful. Fantastic views, ideal to treat yourself and enjoy something special in Luzern. The staff is helpful and friendly. The Gütsch forest is a short walk away ( I highly recommend this), but the funicular takes you back to the city quickly. The rooms have everything you need. We were travelling with a baby (9 months) and they provided a cot, which was great, although the bed is big enough for three as well. The breakfast is very complete with good options for all. They provide a Luzern visitor card which includes transport all around the city, which suited our needs perfectly.

If you want to stay here, choose a lake view room - you won't regret that. Stunning lake with hills and coves will please your eyes every time you look out the window. Ducks and other birds often play just outside. The reception staff provide guests with a free of charge bus passes for the duration of their stay, which I think is a citywide policy to boost tourism, and very convenient as there is a bus stop just outside.

The hotel is lovely and in an amazing location. The lake boats stop is just next to the hotel and the train up to Mount Rigi is less than a minutes walk away. The staff were very helpful both in the hotel and at the tourist office next to the train stop. The views over the lake are stunning. The hotel provide a visitor pass for your stay, which includes free transport around Lake Lucene.

Historic Luzern is so pretty with the Chapel Bridge and Christmas lights. It was also magical in the snow the next morning! Restaurants are plentiful and high quality. Our trip to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Interlaken was lovely in the snow too.

Ok so, Weggis is a beautiful little village but that is also it's problem, it's a little village. Activities were limited and so were the restaurants. I would recommended staying there as a "base" but then exploring the surrounding attractions.

This city is a short distance from Lucerne.

This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.

It's a nice village close to Luzern and Stans.

It's a nice village close to Luzern and Stans. You can easily get the train to Luzern or Engelberg and visit the Stanserhorn bahn or the Titlis bahn. Where you can ski, take in the beautiful views or do some walking. It is by the lake and there are some good restaurants close by and also by the lake with lovely views and good pizza! you can also take a nice walk around the lake too.

We stop off in Beckenreid for coffee, enroute to and from Italy. But recently a stop off to be close to the St Gotthard tunnel, as its busy especially in the summer. Beckenreid has multiple facilities, coffee shops, supermarkets, petrol station and ferry stops, going to Lucerne and directly across the lake. It is just off the motorway.

The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. The view from the top of the mountain is even better than from the hotel, amenities include boat trips through the lake, a golf course on top of the mountain and a sky station next to the town.

With its historic charm and secluded location, this lodge is the perfect escape for travelers looking to get away from the city. I also liked the fact that the price includes a delicious buffet breakfast. The surrounding hills and mountains are currently experiencing beautiful snowfall.

There are so many places we like: 1. Breakfast at Spices Kitchen & Terrace - breathtaking view of Lake Lucerne for breakfast. Go early to get a table near the window. 2. Restaurant Taverne - its rosti is the best I have eaten in Switzerland. Must try! 3. For tennis players, must visit Diamond Domes to play tennis. Best view of lake and walking areas to parks with a good...

Best view of lake and walking areas to parks with a good childrens park nearby. Nice to see old swiss building and customs Public transport good with bus to Stans and from there train to Lucern and Ettenbergen mountain area. Also nice cafes at nearby Beckenreid on lake . Close to tracks for mountain walking .
