Lucern is a beautiful city with so much to do and see. The scenery is stunning the day trips you can do are limitless & It’s that good it would be an amazing place to live. Visit the lake and the many day bars along the foreshore at sunset for a drink. You don’t normally associate Switzerland with amazing food however the seafood & the fresh meat were of the highest quality. We also visited Felsenegg Restaurant almost next to the Liv Appartments and this unassuming restaurant was as good as any restaurant anywhere in the world. One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps.
Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium Alpinum where I require to walk to the office. Also, there is no uber or any local app for cab to be there within the city ride. However, the buses and trains are well connected as the timings alone required to be known well in advance before you travel for the day as the nearest hill for food is Sarnen and nearest station is Stans and from there, you could travel to Lucern or stop trains through hops for Zurich.Guest review byKrishnakumarIndia - 10.0

The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. This city is a short distance from Lucerne.
This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.Guest review byRamon
