A very well run town.
A very well run town. Train service from Täsch was easy to navigate, and the down town area was walkable and quaint. Lots of shops and restaurants, although the shops tend to close early. If you like walking this trip is for you. The Matterhorn Trail was fantastic as the track was complimented with beautiful places to eat. Food is expensive though with little choice. Great option for being affordable if wanting to visit Zermatt. A trains runs between the two cities every 20 minutes which makes travel easy. Not much in Täsch in terms of shopping/restaurants so keep that in mind before leaving Zermatt.Guest review byReesha - 10.0
Zermatt is a very cute town.
Zermatt is a very cute town. It is reputedly vehicle-free but there are plenty of electric service vehicles whizzing about. Nice shops to browse. It is a very expensive place to eat - it wasn’t uncommon to see families sharing main courses (eg. Pizzas). Great furnicular service inside the mountain, where you are immediately rewarded with Matterhorn views. Lots of hiking options at the top too. It is also the start of The Glacier Express.
