Location is nice and quiet, everything is very clean, bed was the most comfortable one in a two month trip. Staff was really friendly, the overall atmosphere is just great. Great Chinese breakfast.

Everything was great! To be honest, it felt more like a homestay (in a good way) because the staff was so welcoming and helpful! Some of them only speak Chinese but Melody speaks English fluently, so I never had any issues because of the language barrier. She organized all my transfers and even told the driver to help me find my boat. I had the room on the top floor and I would definitely recommend staying there. It's a bit higher than the other buildings, so I felt comfortable leaving my panoramic windows open to enjoy the view. Btw, the room looked the same as in the pictures, so I didn't have to adjust my expectations to reality. There was a lot of natural light and I really liked the design - some traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was soft (if you live in China you know why I needed to mention that). I could only have their proper breakfast once because I would leave too early, but that one time their noodles were top-notch. And on the days when I couldn't have breakfast they would always prepare something I could take with me and it was delicious, too. I especially appreciated that there were always some fruits. Lastly, I'd like to mention the massage you can get there. From what I understood it's the same price everywhere because I saw the exact same paper with all the types of massage at a different hotel. I got the oil massage and I cannot recommend it enough. Overall, the people the hotel works with are great, too.

The staff at Guilin HeShe Lakeside Resort are beyond phenomenal. Melody and her team assisted my grandparents as if they were family. Besides the most amazing staff team, the surrounding views and scenery in this area is breathtaking, the rooms are just as seen on photos, and the room views are one of a kind. Melody and her team provided not only a place for my grandparents to stay, but a lasting memory of Guilin and the people you can potentially meet along your travels. I stayed at the Zen Hotel for two nights and had the most wonderful experience. The hotel is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty—overlooking majestic mountains and endless pink lotus fields. My room was spotlessly clean, and the view from the window was simply awe-inspiring. As a solo female traveler, I deeply appreciated the warm and attentive staff. A special thank you goes to Karlie, who made my stay truly special. On her day off, she generously offered to show me around. We explored the surroundings on an e-scooter, went bamboo rafting, and shared plenty of laughter. It felt just like spending time with a close friend. Thank you, lovely Karlie, for your kindness and companionship—you made my time in Yangshuo so memorable.To sum it up: a wonderful hotel, fantastic staff, and a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting Yangshuo.

This was by far one of the best hotels we stayed at in China. Tucked away in the lush and peaceful landscape, a beautifully restored courtyard with clean and comfortable rooms as well as delicious food (both Chinese and Western). The English-speaking staff was very helpful and assisted with pick-up from Guilin train station, bike rental, sunrise trip to Xianggong mountain etc. There are a few cafés and restaurants around, but no shops. The busy (and somewhat touristy) Yangshuo city center is a 10km bike or taxi ride away. However, we deliberatly opted for mostly staying around the hotel, walking along the river and through the hills. Would definetly recommend!

This is a phenomenal Hotel. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are clean and comfy and everything works well. The location is a moderate walk to downtown but it's also right next to a very vibrant strip of restaurants and the like. You definitely don't feel like you're living in a tourist area but you're instead of getting to see daily life all around you. At the hotel itself everything was so smooth and they even give you about your for a free coffee. It was great to see it by the river in the morning.

Everything was excellent. The extraordinary location, right on the river bank. All the staff speak English! In reality it is much more beautiful than the pictures on Booking. Thank you for the hospitality, for the help, for everything! If we come back to Yangshuo, we will definitely come to you! we will recommend you to everyone!

The hotel has amazing views and great location, but what makes it is Jason the owner. As i read in previous reviews he hooked me up with a driver and agent to order boat tickets, complately taking the stress and guess work out of organising an amazing trip when Chinese.speaking isnt your thing. Fully recommended
