Best staff I've ever experienced, superb customer relations, the extra distance the staff go to is spectacular. I specifically wish to congratulate two duty managers, Kevin and David and Eva in tje Executive Lounge was incredible. Best of all, head Concierge Dean went above and beyond tto solve my transit issues, accompanying me to buy the ticket I need and will assist me getting my luggage from the hotel to the transport. I have a lot of travel experience and can safely say that this is the most exceptional customers erice I have ever experienced.     I booked this hotel for my husband when it was definite that he will not make it in time for his connecting flight out of Shenzhen. Unfortunately the delay of his incoming flight stretched to 9hrs at least so he arrived at the hotel at 6am on checkout day. He said the staff was kind enough to let them know that they can extend their stay beyond the 12noon checkout. Excellent customer service from the hotel's check-in staff for a very weary traveller. Rooms were very spacious and clean.

    Staff of most of the hotels I have stayed in Shenzhen before May 2023 can't speak English and so communication is a big problem. But in Sunshine hotel many staff, be it at reception or restaurant or at room service can speak English. It is a good clean hotel with courteous and helpful staff.

    It is all that we can expect of a modern city. Well designed, clean, efficient and langham staff are extraordinary. Just watch out for the bad potatoes..a dishonest taxi driver that fetched us from shekou ferry terminal.

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese...

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese was interesting. People were helpful, polite and patient. I was told there were all sorts of hurdles. No internet, needs VPN , no WhatsApp blah blah blah. I bought an esim from Agoda which was cheap as chips which worked brilliantly. WhatsApp worked as normal. I installed Alipay with a credit card that doesn't charge international fees before travelling. Alipay pays for everything. Brilliant. It had Didi for transport. Brillant. I had WeChat installed but not able to read Chinese it was not completely helpful unless I ask the restaurant staff to help. I installed Amap which is to replace Google map and it was very accurate. So an esim from Agoda/Alipay/Amap/WeChat is all you need. Oh Google translation was mighty helpful for menus etc Enjoy.
