The hotel's location was very convenient, close to all the main attractions and recommended restaurants. Additionally, the food at the hotel was excellent, varied, and catered to all dietary preferences.     The hotel is located in a beautiful bay in lavish garden. On the arrival we had a wonderful surprise. We have been upgraded to suite. Our room was big with two bathrooms, a very comfortable bed ( you also have a choice of different pillows) and with really big terrace with amazing view to the sea. The food in the buffet was always tasty and you could always find something for yourself. It was the same with the deserts. There is choice of other restaurants on the grounds as well. The reception staff were really nice. Although the water in the outside swimming-pool was cold we did really enjoy swimming in the sea. I would highly recommend this hotel and for sure we will be back sometime.

    Location is excellent. To harbour by beach 7 minutes walk. Bus stop in front of the hotel and you can get from there to all main destinations for 2 euro. Staff very friendly and attentive. Excellent pool and beach. Breakfast good. Staff prepared for us snacks as we had early check in and could not eat breakfast. Thank you for good holiday

    Paphos is a beautiful and compact location and everything is within easy reach. Hotels are good quality and the staff at Almyra Hotel were fantastic. The roads have been upgraded- no potholes. I would advise to hire a car : we used PafoRentals - Mr.Antonis and Mr.Tomasz - absolute gentleman - door to door service and good quality vehicles. Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. I recommend the local ‘Greek mama’s kitchen’ eatery Kourides up in central Paphos.

    First, think about what kind of vacation you want.

    First, think about what kind of vacation you want. If nightlife and clubs are important to you, it’s best to stay near the center. If you’re looking for a more relaxing holiday and nightlife is not a priority, I recommend finding accommodation close to one of the beaches, preferably Makronisos or Landa (this year Nissi Beach was a disappointment). It’s quieter there, yet you still have restaurants and markets nearby, and you can easily reach the center by bus (around 10 minutes). Be sure to download the Cyprus Bus app to check timetables and routes, it makes planning your trips much easier. Also, don’t rely only on buses 101 and 102; many other lines run along Nissi Avenue and can take you from beach to beach. For those who don’t go to the beach early (before 11–12), it’s a good idea to buy your own umbrella on the first day (around €30 for a good one). After 11–12 it’s hard to find a free sunbed, and it’s a shame to go all the way to the beach only to have to leave or go somewhere else. Take advantage of the fact that the front rows on the beach are reserved for people with their own umbrellas and sunbeds.

    Larnaca town is undergoing restructure and felt like a post earth quake zone with lots of rubble around and pathways through building sites. A quaint town which I'm sure will be great when finished. Where the hotel was on Dekhalia road has less hotels than 35 years ago. A very quiet area with nothing much to see if do.Great for a beach break but if you wish to see things, a car is the best way.

    It's a very safe and friendly city. It is easy to get around and residents are even kind enough to offer you a ride in case you get lost and no taxis in sight. Despite the language barrier, most people at least try to speak English. The food variety is actually limited with most cafés offering fast food which is not a fave. Some organic food would be welcome, including green vegetables which are rare.

    Polis is a nice place to spend a couple of days. There are some good restaurants and bars in the center of the town, serving nice traditional dishes in good prices. Nearby Latsi beach is well organised, offering all the amenities someone can expect (lifeguard, changing rooms, toilets). Polis can be used as the base for exploring the area and particularly Akamas peninsula. Highly recommended to 1st time visitors to the island!

    Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus.

    Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus. it has a lovely vibe and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. I recommend Pendeli Hotel for a luxurious stay or forest park if looking for a very budget friendly stay. Petit Palais is one of the oldest hotels in the square and is loved by locals and tourists. EnPlatron is one of my favourite Taverns offering great traditional dishes and live music on weekends. Kaledonia Tavern is also a favourite local tavern so make sure to give it a try Cleopatra Bistro is a favourite for modern dining and deserts and beverages. Beautiful and modern decor if looking for yummy fast food try I Sitzia Tou Mavrou for a delicious Gyros
