We chose a strategy of staying in a relatively central location, between Larnaca/Limassol and Ayia Napa, and rented a car. The drives were relatively short, around 30–45 minutes, with clear roads, no traffic, and a highway running across the country. I recommend others do the same.Guest review byRonIsrael - 8.0
There are many small streets to stroll around.
There are many small streets to stroll around. My favourite architectural details were the many arches, hidden courtyards and the various antique door knockers. You need at least 2 days to unwind and explore. We ate at House 1923 for dinner, and also return for iced coffee. Nice atmosphere ina restore historic hotel. Lovely little place with pretty houses to look at and a few facilities such as small shops and restaurants. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday and good to be able to access bigger places within half an hour if looking for a busier day. Nice place to escape from noisy city to a quiet place, highly recommend for group of friends, couples and travellers with animals. All staff are pet friendly. The area is nice and clean. The rooms are good and tidy, bed is very nice and comfortable, bedsheets are nice and fresh. Bathroom is good but has lots of plaque in the sink and shower facilities as well as glasses, plates and cutlery in the kitchen - will recommend to take it into management consideration. Located in the hills about 10-15 mins from the sea and beaches, Tochni is an unspoilt authentic traditional village with classic Mediterranean vibes. Many of the streets are pedestrian only, narrow and lined with charming stone buildings. In the centre near the main Church there is a cute little grocery store and fantastic village taverna.
