It’s right on a very busy road but we asked for a quiet room at the back and heard nothing. We slept very well. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was born and grew up in Hamburg, still love it, and always like to come back for a visit. I am glad the main part of the city hasn't changed too much and is still as beautiful as it was many years ago. There is a lot of construction going on at the moment, however, but I guess that's necessary to keep things in good condition.
