Very spacious room, very clean, we had the mini apartment and it was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed The view from the room is gorgeous and the air conditioner works very well. Very close to the center and restaurants. Definitely reccomand.

Top tier breakfast, one of the best we ever had (anywhere). Everything is modern and clean. Very good WiFi. The room is a good size, with great views. The bathroom is also spacious.     We enjoyed a short romantic break. The location was perfect for this purpose. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Harz, surrounded by a wonderful forest. However, it was easy to find the hotel and, as we were travelling by car, we were able to easily get around and visit Stolberg, the Rose Park in Sangerhausen and other interesting places. The hotel grounds are also incredibly beautiful. Although the lower park was closed due to the construction of the new swimming pool, our room nevertheless faced the front of the hotel grounds and we enjoyed the view undisturbed. The breakfast and dinner were super lovely with an excellent selection of food. Perhaps the restaurant should consider displaying the wine bottles when they only serve a glass of wine, instead of bringing a glass already filled with wine to the table from outside. The wellness area with swimming pool is excellent. I had a facial and a massage. And it lived up to the highest expectations. I would definitely do it again if I had a longer stay.

    It was a very calm environment. Perfect for resting. You were able to declare that you don’t wanna be distrubed during the stay and have privacy in your room which worked pretty well. For not getting room service you got a free water. It was quiet during the night and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and perfect for vegans as well. We were surprised. There is a private entrance to a hike trail on the property of the hotel and you are able to join a guided walk on some days. Free water and apples all day. We went during christmas and the decorations were very cute too.

    I had no idea how divine the town and this hotel would be. The hotel was located in an historic part of town, exuded tradition and history, was warm and inviting in entry with a lovely lounge and fireplace. The rooms were nice, a touch traditional, and the bathrooms modern and functional. Heating was good but you could also open the windows which I love. There was a great heating rack which we all want. The restaurant was fantastic and breakfast was served in a lovely room with all the touches you’d expect and more. All the staff were wonderful.decor was great too. Parking was free.

    We loved this hotel, the spa facilities were great, especially the outdoor pool. The food was fantastic, we really enjoyed our breakfasts and the evenings meals.     A little gem- the inner city and castle untouched by all the wars- it has changed a lot cosmetically since the reunification of Germany - but it's charm has remained. Quite walkable- the only challenging part being the sometimes steep stroll up to the castle. Don't ignore the side streets- there are some wonderful shops hidden away.

    This is a great little town for walking in the Harz mountains or attending the week long horse racing festival - another must for followers of our equine friends. Plenty restaurants and great weather in July - take shorts and plenty of sun tan lotion. I really really enjoyed this town - its got character

    lots of hiking, lovely mountain and kids' areas. if you came here for a Harz vacation, Wernigerode and other cities are farther than you think (mountain roads, sometimes it can take 1+hours to get places).

    Schierke is a gateway to hiking in the Harz National Park and a stop along the Harz Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. It's quiet, friendly, and well equipped with a grocery store and a variety of restaurants and hotels. We suggest staying at the Pension Drei Elstern.

    Town is full of history with medieval houses and a hilltop castle that is very popular for German tourists. English is not common, especially in restaurant or their menus, so sometimes difficult for non-German speakers. Great place to visit Harz Mountains hiking areas and the Titan-RT suspension bridge and Dam and the Wendefurth reservoir for boating. Harz Railway Steam train to the Broken Mountain.

    Quedlinburg is a delightful town, with lovely buildings, great cafes and restaurants, and good shopping. Castle, senf (mustard) shop, and walking tour of the old town were very nice. Baumkuchen and cappuccinos were delicious. Everything is in walking distance - train station is a ten-minute walk away.

    Goslar is a place we have returned again and again.

    Goslar is a place we have returned again and again. The town is beautifully preserved with many wonderful halftimbered houses. The city hall and Kaiserpfalz in town are well worth visiting and Rammelsberg is a must see UNESCO world heritage site. Goslar is an excellent place to stay while hiking or cycling or just sightseeing through the Harz mountains.
