She professionally handled grumpy guests checking in ahead of us who complained about everything. Also, on checking out, she gave us the option of paying at a different hotel, that was run by the same people, that did take credit cards. !!AND!! we left very important medication in the refrigerator, which she personally ran over to us while we were paying at the other hotel—this more than makes up for anything I wrote in the “What didn’t you like?”! Great place to see some unusual wildlife.
Great place to see some unusual wildlife. Going to Dune is easy with regular ferry and yet pretty cheap. We stayed in camping part of Dune for one night, beaches are teaming with life. Facilities there are uniquely clean. Second part of our trip was spent in the main Island, it is still quite a small place and easy to see in 1-2 days. Great sceneries of a small-sized island in the middle of the North-Sea. Very good walking trails on the island, leading to the gannet colony at the north-west of the island. The breeding season was not yet over, and many young birds had to be fed to grow so that they can withstand the coming autumn and winter period. I could take many nice pictures of the gannets at quite a close distance, the large sea-birds were pretty used to the tourists and photographers. At another day, we want for a small boat trip to the neighboring but remote island called "Dune", which has a sand-shore, an airport and a small camping site. We were very lucky with the weather, the forecast was really bad with above 15mm of rainfall on a single day. Luckily, that never happened when we were there.
