The hotel is located near the sea, so it was very easy to go hiking in the area along the coastline - staff was quite helpful in organising stuff and the hotel offers really nice lunch packages for hiking. There is also a restaurant directly in the hotel which was very good (but quite expensive for people used to prices outside Denmark). Rooms are quite big. Metro and busses are nearby as well so it’s ideal to get around the city. A lot of sights like Tivoli are just a short walk away too. The room was very large. There are big windows too so it gets plenty of daylight. My room faced the rails of the central station so it could get a bit noisy at times, but it wasn’t too bad. The view was very nice though. The breakfast was delicious too with a great variety of both sweet and savory food. Bonus point: the hotel has a swimming pool area which is free to use. There is a lot to see and do in Copenhagen.
There is a lot to see and do in Copenhagen. I enjoyed the good art museums, churches, Nyhavn area, open top harbor cruise and some good restaurants (especially Riz Raz Vegetarian!). Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket,small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road. Only traffic passing by is for 2 other houses. Beach and nature right outside the door. Copenhagen only half an hour away by train. Shopping mall less than 2 km away. Several supermarkeds in the area. We had a car to get around.
