The staff is very welcoming, helpful, accommodating, kind but most importantly very courteous providing an excellent customer service at the spa area, restaurant, bar and lobby. We really enjoyed our stay that we would recommend anyone that visits Baños to stay there and we are looking forward to visiting Monte Selva in the future. The location was excellent, is walking distance to the center of the city where there’s many bars, restaurants. The food at the Monte Carlo restaurant is not only very good in taste but in prices as well. The filet mignon is a must try. We enjoyed very much the thermal waters and saunas that were indoors and outdoors we had the hot tub and pool. Our room was very very clean and had a big window to enjoy the beautiful view. The rooms are spacious, the freshly prepared breakfast is excellent, and the architecture respects nature, making you feel like you are in the forest, in a tree house, while enjoying a stay in a four-star hotel next to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country. I absolutely adore this hotel, which is worth every penny; that is, the pricing is fair for the setting and service. I love this place. Staying in this hotel is an experience, rather than a mere stay. The brothers were also highly helpful gave excellent recommendations to the best driver in town and to the best spa (El Refugio), where we enjoy the cajon bano. One of the most beautiful places we have traveled to in the...
One of the most beautiful places we have traveled to in the 30+ countries we have visited. Lush green vegetation clinging to beautiful mountains and gorges with incredible waterfalls that will take your breath away again and again. All of this located below an incredible volcano and at the gateway of the Ecuador Amazon with so many other unique opportunities to explore. There are so many activities to choose from right in Banos (ziplining, canyoneering, rafting, hiking, biking, cable cars, shopping, dining out), you will wish you had planned more time in your vacation to spend in this beautiful location. Very friendly people. Pretty much all of the hotels are privately owned, making your stay feel more genuine and like you are able to more directly support the people in the local community. You won't regret making time in your vacation to visit Banos. We stayed at Hotel Santa Lucia and the staff were wonderful. We used GeoTours for many of our activities and they were amazing. It is a great place for a vacation for a couple or family with children. Attractive town and market. Great variety of restaurants with delicious food.
