We used the accommodation as a stop/break on the Camino Primitivo route. This place allowed you to get into the mood of Roman times and indulge in exploring the city. It was a great rest because of the comfort, cleanliness, quietness, location (the very center!), and even extra hygiene accessories (including a feminine kit). We felt we were in a good place to take a break and recuperate for the rest of the pilgrimage. Even the blackout we experienced during our stay did not disturb the perception of this beautiful place. The staff made sure we felt safe even though they themselves didn't quite know what was going on.

We stayed for 1 week with our 6 months old baby, and absolutely loved it! The hotel is very beautiful and very calm, located only 5-10 min walking to the town where you find a lot of great restaurants. The hotel was the perfect place for our family vacation, and they have everything you need for making the stay with a baby easy (cot, chair etc.). The best of it all is with no doubt the amazing staff and the service provided. We are already planning our stay next year!

    The Hotel is a great place to explore the area. The location is perfect as it is calm and still very close to the city center. The Ria where you can swim is just 10 Minutes away by foot : praia dos bloques. The people of the Hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants is good and the owner made a great effort to explain the menue to us.

    We chose Hotel Ego as it was outside the main centre and had good views of the coast and beach. It also has an excellent Restaurant next door. Our room was perfect. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. Our Espanol es poco! But they endured our attempts and gladly assisted us in English!!! Wonderful place to stay, a pity we did not have more time.

    The total Camino was great The biggest thing was not planning better However it wasn’t booking fault. I’m 66 and walked the Camino 130 miles. Everything I did book went great. I will book everything next time.

    Large room comfortable beds with quiet a/c. Warm day loved the pool. Breakfast stated at 0700 and excellent choices. Nice to get on Camino by 0730. Easy walk to bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!

    It was amazing to arrive in Portomarin and dip my feet in the river. It was the best foot spa experience I have ever had. Great spot to rest when walking the Camino from Sarria. There was a couple of people singing and playing a guitar under a bridge and that made the whole experience even more romantic.

    Lugo is a stunning city surrounded by Roman walls that you can walk along on top. It's architecture is similar to Santiago de Compostela but as it doesn't have as many visitors doing the Camino it is a much more comfortable city to walk around. Lovely shops and good vibe in the local bars. and good traditional Galician food in the local restaurants. It's a safe city away from the blistering summer heat that other southern Spanish cities have to endure. A real hidden gem.

    The hotel was right on the harbour so it was great to have look around the boats ect. A short walk uphill into the town and you find plenty of bars and good restaurants. If you dont fancy the walk into town there are 3 good fish restaurants on or around the harbour. If you have a push bike there's plenty to explore like the lighthouse ect.

    If I had of booked for a week i am sure I could have occupied my time. The town is ok but the beach and walks could be great especially the estuary and San Roque which I would have liked to see. Don’t miss the beaches or the estuary as they are really good

    Foz was picked as a base from which to visit Santiago de Compostela and other nearby places. The town itself is not pretty, but the beach is nice and there is a good clifftop walk. Foz has plenty of bars and restaurants and suoermarkets.

    It is a friendly town of the new and old that honours and celebrates Galician heritage, writers and poets. As a customer in shops, cafés, taverns and restaurants you fell welcome and respected. Taverna Galega - A Lareira, is close to the Albergue and has a special atmosphere, excellent service and fine, daily selection of Pinchos. Pasteleria Ben has mouth-watering pastries and excellent coffee. The Tourist Office is very helpful.

    I was only in Sarria for less than 2 days at the start of a camino walk to Santiago. It was a very interesting town with lovely old stone buildings, views, good cafes and restaurants and bars. very interesting historically. Also a good spot for a bit of preparatory camino shopping — poles, shoes and other gear.
