Excellent hotel...incredibly clean and warm every night even in the cold of December. Loads of hot water everyday at all hours and showers that really worked. Málaga is a very busy city.

Málaga is a very busy city. If you like places with lots of people and a wide range of leisure options — nightlife, restaurants, and so on — Málaga is a good choice. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation, it may not be the best option, as the city is very touristy and crowded everywhere. You need to pay attention to your personal belongings and be aware of possible scams.

The front was less lively than other resorts, but I don't want loads of British pubs and junk food eateries anyway, so a more relaxing experience. The old town is one of the best in Spain, with many narrow streets crammed with shops and restaurants. The town of Estepona is about an hour away on a bus, another nice town and front. If you want more livelier places, then Fuengirola is over an hour's away on a bus. You can get a boat to more upmarket Puerto Banus for around 20e return

Really enjoyed Torromolinos. Stayed at Sol Puerto marina. Most welcoming hotel we ever stayed in. Stones throw from marina so had full promenade right up to centre Toremolinos. Husband has hip issues so hired mobility scooter delivered to hotel ..he saw more of the resort than we did for years coming here. It's a safe beautiful place with great shops restaurants & most of all the sea views ...which cost nothing just peace.

The location of the town, famously straddling a deep gorge, lends astonishing views from every aspect. The mountainous backdrop and olive groves beneath, add to the picturesque location. The historical centre itself is completely charming, and visitors can enjoy palaces, churches, museums including the old bullring, and Arab architectural sites as well as the town’s natural geological features. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops as well as the usual souvenir shops and some more unusual artisanal products.

It's a fun town with little or no trouble.

It's a fun town with little or no trouble. The first thing you notice when you arrive is how clean the town is with workers constantly keeping it clean. There are local and eclectic bars and restaurants along the front and the back streets which are well worth exploring. The transport network of buses trains ferries and taxis mean you can also explore the wider area of southern Spain. Don't waste the opportunity.!!! I must also add a personal thank you to the medical team at the local A&E unit who swifty and professionally dealt with a health issue i had the last time i was there. Finally the Mayor and her team need to be congratulated for keeping Fuengirola as a safe and happy place to visit.

I love Nerja, it has just the right mix of everything.

I love Nerja, it has just the right mix of everything. There’s plenty of sun usually, the light on the sea is magnificent. There’s plenty of places to eat and drink even out of season. We even found a lovely meditation/yoga centre that we visited on a Wednesday evening. There’s plenty of shops if you like that sort of thing. I loved staying right in the centre of town just near the Balcon de Europa with amazing views.

Estepona is a much bigger town than I thought with a lot of high rise buildings but the Old town is really quaint and beautiful with little cobbled streets full of pots of flowers everywhere! The town is very clean and apart from the odd dog poo there was no litter. Lots of cafes and restaurants to chose from and what we did like was there were hardly any tacky souvenier shops! I would thoroughly recommend going up to Clio rooftop bar the view was amazing! The promenade is lovely stretching for miles alongside the clean beaches with lots of palm tress and green plantation. We loved looking out for the numerous sculptures and murials which are dotted everywhere....Estepona has everything....clean beaches, beautiful old town, lots of places to eat and a lovely harbour.

Well known location for sightseeing. HILLY!!

Well known location for sightseeing. HILLY!! The town is very smart, range of bars and restaurants. Very local shops, not big stores. I went for a first hand experience with a view to moving to Antequera to live (I already live in Malaga province). Lots of small streets and very hilly. I'm a fit 70 and managed easily. There are 33 churches in Antequera!! I had to look it up because there are so many beautiful spires!!

Mijas is pretty. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Mijas is pretty. Lots of bars and restaurants. It can be hilly and there are lots of steps/ cobbled streets so may be unsuitable for people with mobility issues. There is a lot of traffic through Mijas and not many just pedestrianised areas so you do need to be aware of traffic when walking around the narrow streets.
