If you want a relaxing few days this place is for you. Opened earlier in the year and only 5 rooms are open at present (3 private’s and 2 dorms I think). I believe there will be 10 rooms in total when they open fully. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it wasn’t a dorm as such - 4 single beds, beautiful en suite and even better outdoor shower which was powerful and had hot water. Very sturdy buildings - not like the tents in other resorts. Everywhere was extremely clean. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - the service is second to none.. No unnecessary check in process - they just welcomed you, showed you to your room and you just paid for everything on check out. Meals are chosen off a set menu for breakfast lunch and dinner - you choose your next meal during the prior meal. Lots of choose from western food to local food. I 100% believe it’s cooked fresh and I saw some fishermen taking their catch from the sea to the restaurant. They have snorkelling from the beach front which I did - I believe it’s a lot better if the boatman takes you for free towards the island but the winds took off when I was there so unfortunately gave that and the kayaking a miss as I’d get blown to the next island. If you want lots of people this isn’t for you - there was around 7 people during my stay but a nice mix of couples and solo travelers and just somewhere calm to read a book and relax. Fresh coconuts and mango provided for you during the day. They also have a kind of communal big table where solo people can sit and chat to other solo people.

We did a long tour of all islands in the Yasawas, and Paradise Cove is on a short list of the very best. Of course, as it is a higher end resort, expectations were also high, but the place met them easily. The property is located on a beautiful island where the beach and water entry / water level is just perfect, regardless of high tide / low tide. One thing they don't say and they should advertise is the amazing coral reef they have just steps in the water. This was easily comparable with things we saw on boat trips. So definetlly a very big plus. Then the restaurants, they have two, and we loved them both . Magic breakfasts at the main restaurant in the gentle sun light or romantic dinners at Donu . Unforgetable memories . The team has some of the best people we met in Fiji and we felt very welcomed. Special greetings to Nebz , hope you get the message, the first steps with Scuba were very helpful, thank you.

Amazing resort, stunning beach, snorkelling, hike. Lots of activities to do. Food was good, but in Blue Lagoon was better 😉 Needs a half board option, as three big meals per day is way too much.

We stayed at Sheraton Resort & Spa Takariki Island Fiji in...

We stayed at Sheraton Resort & Spa Takariki Island Fiji in early September for 6 nights with my partner. Our room had a garden view and was equipped with everything we needed, though it could use a light renovation. Housekeeping was done daily, with linen changed every three days. Complimentary water was provided at 0.5L per person per day. The resort grounds are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and the island, especially from the dining area. The staff were always warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Irene for her hospitality and support, as well as to the recreation team and the chef for the delicious meals, which is impressive considering the challenges of island logistics. Service in the restaurants was slower than we are used to – sometimes lunch took 40 minutes to an hour – but this seems to be the island pace, so patience is needed. The all-inclusive package took us a couple of days to fully understand. Breakfast buffet was included, lunch was à la carte with a choice of two courses, and dinner offered three courses à la carte or buffet (on some days), plus the option of dining at the excellent Indian restaurant, Kukuima, which we highly recommend. The pool was great, and the highlight of our stay was the snorkelling. You can already see fish just off the beach, and if you swim a bit further out to the reef crest, the variety of marine life is amazing. It’s important to go at high tide to avoid damaging corals or getting injured. The resort also carefully manages activities depending on tide, wind, and waves, which we appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful stay with beautiful weather, lots of positive energy, and memorable experiences. We would be very happy to return.

We wanted a homestay run by locals, so we got an authentic experience. No roads, no cars, only walking tracks and hiking trails. Wonderful. They are isolated, so no shop, I would recommend taking sachet coffees etc if you like more than instant. If you get inspired to want to help them (as I was) you could think of taking snorkelling flippers and leaving them there, or packraft paddles (they come apart), or a yoghurt maker and powder packets to make yoghurt. Some books, games, or big maps of Yasawa. We had a week, which was just right....but didn't get to do all the activities we intended to. Too nice being relaxed and even lazy. The ferry ride there is fun and interesting and they supply complimentary transfers to and from accommodation. South Sea Cruises. Apparently there is a supply boat from Lautoka once a week which is much cheaper.

BareFoot Kuata was a fair or probably a bad place to stay.

BareFoot Kuata was a fair or probably a bad place to stay. It is focused on the Backpacker tourist and even for that customer segment I find it expensive for the quality of food and accommodation. Food was not good at all. A typical buffet with the regular stuff and nothing that will impress you. Basic food. Basic coffee. Basic Tea. The staff at the restaurant were just doing their job but they were never friendly or welcoming. The guy that took my luggage to the Bure told me as I arrived how tired he was of working and walking to the most distant Bure which is number 30. More of hinting for a tip. Also he suggested to be approached individually if I wanted a fresh coconut. The facilities were simply all right. There were lounges by the beach that had not seen any proper cleaning or maintenance in a long time so it looks sad and abandonned. The staff at the Dive Shop when being asked for a kayak at 4 pm looked like they were not keen to help as they finish their day at 5 pm. Cleaning could have been better. The hotel lacks greenery other than what is there already, as pathways and common areas could be enhanced and made more beautiful. Once again, if you are into the backpacking world, this could be for you. But if you want a more boutique hotel or intimate experience, then I would go somewhere else. The only reason why I chose it was the snorkeling with the sharks but you can do that as a day visitor.

Savusavu is a great location for a peaceful holiday, giving to a more traditional Fijian experience with less resorts on the island. The market is a great for self catering or just absorbing the atmosphere, especially early on Sat when the fish market is there too. The people are very friendly and fun to be around, as you walk down the street you are constantly greeted warmly with Bula! Nateway Bay is mostly untouched and an amazing place to see.

Gorgeous island - beautiful beaches, coral reef, and the island itself is lovely - you can go on a mountain forest walk as well as be on the beach. Delicious food, and lots of activities - we enjoyed the mountain walks, the beaches, diving, snorkelling and also just relaxing by the pool, trying out the yoga classes and massages and also the trips to the nearby local villages.

As a large family group of 2 grandparents, 6 adult children and 3 grandkids, the resort was excellent and catered for all ages. A great selection of 4 pools, beautiful beach, 2 superb restaurants and a large buffet restaurant, plus other eateries. Various shops and bars. Night time entertainment, fire dancers were excellent, grandson amazed that "he ate fire"! Water sport activities, catamaran, kayaks, jumping inflatable. Relaxing spa, 9 hole golf course with Plantation island golf balls so they're all the same! Boats available for a quick trip to Cloudbreak and other surf breaks. Cloud 9 floating bar. We did it all and it was all amazing.

Fantastic accommodation and food (Sheraton).

Fantastic accommodation and food (Sheraton). Weather was perfect in June - consistently between 24-28 deg! Water temp was 27deg - no rasher needed. Very relaxing. Note a couple of things - extra activities were super expensive. Food generally quite expensive (but good) - we stayed at Sheraton - very nice - but no 'cheaper' food options (e.g. ~$20-30Aus for an entree). Highly suggest paying for the buffet breakfast - amazing! (never seen so many options!).
