We had three really enjoyable nights at the Auberge along with dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent and served with enthusiasm and cheerfulness. Arriving on the Thursday for "pizza night" in the outside bar was our good fortune! Tasty pizza, wine and a fun ambiance. The staff were outstanding. I would thorougly recommend the Auberge.

The restoration of the house has been beautifully done, and I appreciated the thoughtful Christmas decorations and the selection of toiletries that added a nice personal touch.     We had such a lovely stay here - we loved it so much we stayed for 2 weeks - The staff were so helpful - The Gite was perfect furnished to a high standard quirky and very comfortable - we loved the out door pool and there was a large long table outside for communal eating if you so wished - You also have your own private area with table chairs & bbq. We will be back!

    One night stay for a motorcycling trip. Perfect location as we were provided an excellent dinner as well. We ate dinner on the same table as the other guests, whcih was very sociable. Very quiet, safe for our motorcycles. Breakfast was excellent as well, plus we were offered a choice of eggs.

    Great stopover location. Great staff and good price. This is a standard budget hotel and will not disappoint. If travelling on a Sunday or Monday you’ll find the big bonus is that good is available in the evenings. A bit of a rarity in France.

    Lovely small rural town centred on the Abbaye.

    Lovely small rural town centred on the Abbaye. Town has recently attracted a small Carrefour supermarket which has helped to revitalise the town as a local shopping area. The town centre has all the "local" shops and appears to be thriving again. Perfect position to explore the local countryside. Peaceful and calm with easy access to the larger towns and the major road network. Hotel was on the edge of the town, within 300 metres of the main Square and the Abbaye, peaceful and calm.

    Hotel was fine for a budget price.

    Hotel was fine for a budget price. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and the restaurant was very good. Gueret is a very quiet town, not much going on. We couldn't find a grocery store open past 7.
