Decent size room which was very clean. Very close to the center with all sightseeing. Lots of people at the reception so there is always someone available to help you. Large area in general next to the reception to rest, have coffee and play some games installed there. Also, there is underground parking.

3 stars of excellence! I have stayed In 5 stars that don’t compare! Ok it doesn’t have all the bullshit bells and whistles , but what it does have is: 1: family owned 2: clean and presentable! 3: Location 4: restaurants all around you 5: Good size room 6: private underground cark park 7: free WiFi 8: and a great continental breakfast that’s doesn’t cost you and arm and a leg!! 9: the owners are delightful! Highly recommend it 👍👍

Perfect location, car parking onsite, extremely friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, by far much better than most 4 star hotels you could stay in. Would definitely stay again.

    The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet...

    The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet and tranquil. The staff are very discreet and the service is excellent. We had room 16 which had a private balcony overlooking the river Tarn. The room was large, very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The Air Conditioning was weak but we opened the door and the balcony and the through draft cooled the room in the evenings. As we were having a heat wave, the cool breeze in the evenings lasting through to the morning was delightful. The meals are delicious and the service again is excellent. Breakfast is equally good with excellent coffee. It should be noted that we have an electric car and the staff went out of the way to ensure we could charge it.

    I liked the 2 very different museums that I visited: Jean Jaurès museum and the Goya museum. There is a nice old town with small shops, some parks and it very walkable. Sunday morning was quite lively which is always a good sign.

    Beautiful unspoilt village on top of a ridge between two...

    Beautiful unspoilt village on top of a ridge between two valleys. Dates to the 11th century with narrow steep cobbletone roads and tracks. Some nice little restaurants, hotels and craft shops. Well worth a visit if you are near Toulouse or Albi.

    Favourite places to go to are Albi (Toulouse-Lautrec museum), Toulouse, Carcassonne. Good restaurants in Lavaur. Please ask hostesse. Quiet place. Warm and caring couple. Nothing is too much to ask.

    An absolutely beautiful city,very memorable in only good ways. Everywhere you look there is beautiful lanes, streets,shops,restaurants. Very friendly and polite people too. I really want to make a return visit.

    Castres is a lovely town , beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely Christmas Markets , very family oriented. However , not a lot of restaurants open Christmas Eve even for lunch and a many closed from the 23 rd of December till end of first week in January ! Something to think about if deciding to be in Castres over Christmas/ New year . A big drawback.

    The owner's cooked a special Dinner for us, which was excellent! We felt like we were family rather than guests. The ambiance was magical. it is a beautifully restored building and the restoration has been done in keeping with the period. The pictures don't do it justice.

    I believe we stay in Albi about the right length of time and also visited some surrounding villages. places visited Cathedral, Toulouse lautrec museum, navigators museum. We ate at the Epurien restaurant Albi (42 Pl Jean Jaures 81000)

    An historic and vibrant town, chock-full of excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. Rarely have we seen so many establishments. Covid has closed some of the historic buildings and the Goya museum is shut for a year for major restoration. The tourist office was first-class, so helpful. Myriad shops of every kind in gorgeous little sidestreets, a wonderful covered market selling mouthwatering meats, charcuterie, cheese, spices, wine etc. and open every day. Because of bad weather, the medieval-style boat was moored up. We can't wait to go back.

    It’s a fairytale village. Charming and quaint.

    It’s a fairytale village. Charming and quaint. Not much to do and that’s the charm of the village. Sunday and Monday are not the best days to visit, especially Monday because everything is shut. Take a small hike up to the view point and look at the village (Point De Vue) I had the best local sausage made of foie gras for lunch at Michel Monteil. The village has almond cookies named after itself (Croquants De Cordes).
