On our way to Mani Peninsula we had a great stopover at Akrothea boutique hotel which is situated close to the highqway but in the tranquil Skopi village. Spacious and clean room with a private well equipped bathroom. The 6 rooms are overlooking Tripoli valley and hills nearby, as well as the outdoor infinity pool.a Food is a real experience of flavours and taste which we highly recommend asorted with local wines, all at a very reasonable proce if you consider the high quality of the ingredients and beautiful plating. This new boutique hotel is well worth a 10. Smart TV with Netflix and Prime and good wifi signal all over the property. Balcony overlooking the terrace and pool area. Type 2 charging point available. A recommendation: a shade for the parking area would be highly appreciated.

A very special hotel with the best, most thoughtful hotel staff I’ve ever met. It’s one thing to have a gorgeous hotel, which it is, but Greek hospitality is truly at its finest here. The thoughtfulness and generosity of the staff is unmatched anywhere else in the world.     We visited the homeland during Greek Easter and decided to stay at Houdis Houses. The facilities were wonderful. The children enjoyed sleeping upstairs in the lodge with the nice view and playing basketball on the court. The pool looked very inviting, but we didn't try it, as we hadn't brought swimsuits in April. Being Spring everything was in bloom and just taking in the view was a very relaxing experience. There was enough space for the children to ride their bicycles. In front of our house was a gazebo with a barbecue. The location was excellent. The beach was only 100m walk through a footpath. The picturesque town of Paralio Astros was in walking distance. Plenty of possibilities for excursions with the car along the beautiful coast of eastern Peloponnese. Good Wi-Fi access. Kitchen & Utilities perfectly comfortable. All in all this was one of our nicest stays in the last decade and we will come back. We didn't have any complaints. The owner was still kind enough to ask us if everything met our expectations and if we had any suggestions for improvement.

    Agroktima Guesthouse is a true gem! The breakfast is out of this world – fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. Every bite feels like it’s made with love. Sleeping on the COCO-MAT mattresses? Let me tell you, I haven’t slept this well in months – like a baby on a cloud! 💤 The place is incredibly quiet and peaceful, perfect for unwinding, yet there’s still a lovely sense of community. We met some great people staying in the other houses, and the kids had an absolute blast playing safely in the open spaces. The host is warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive – they made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing yet family-friendly getaway! 🌿✨

    Manto studios are located in a quiet area about 5km north of Tyros, so a car is essential. It is about 100m from a pebbled beach with clean waters. The studios have pitched their own beach umbrellas and loungers, which the guests may use for free. The studios are simply furnished, clean and spacious. The bed mattresses are fine and the air conditioning is efficient and quiet. The bathroom is clean with good plumbing (often a problem in Greece). The staff is very polite and helpful. They have eagerly responded to our request for some extra crockery. They have also presented us with local olives and oil.

    When you get in, you feel like entering into a château. We enjoyed our stay a lot. :-) The hotel is next to a small port. The small village is very nice and quiet. Parking place was next to the house. The next mini market was approx. 7-10 min. away (by foot). Our room was big with a high ceiling. Everything was clean and the owners and staff were very friendly.

    The setting is spectacular, view of the little harbor and the sea in one direction and the mountains leading to Leonidio in the other. When you're up early you see some fishing boats returning. Quiet and lovely. The staff went out of their way to make pretty good breakfast (if you like greek yoghurt, omelette with feta, freshly pressed juice and greek coffee...).

    Attractive hilltop village with plenty of restaurants and shops and excellent walking, not least along the Lousios Gorge. Lots of "real" locals as well as tourists! And some fantastic jewellery shops with people trained in the local silversmith school in a nearby village. Don't miss the Outdoor Water Power Museum - absolutely fascinating and really well presented!

    Only spent a night as part of a longer trip. Was not expecting much, but the town was much, but Tripoli was quite charming. Had a fantastic dinner at a cozy, fun restaurant, and could have spent more time exploring the town, shops, and bars. It was a nice surprise, worth checking it out again.

    Good selection of tavernas and coffee shops. The castle and area around it is well worth visiting. Long beach with an option of sunbeds or space for your own beach chairs and umbrella. Wet lands a short drive from the town. Plenty of mountain villages to explore if you have a car. In addition, Nafplio is just 45 minutes away by car.

    Xiropigado is perfect for laid back and relaxing vacations. If you want to go to nightclubs and have many choices regarding restaurants and bars, it is not for you. But if you want to rest and enjoy the sea and the view, it is highly recommended.

    A very pretty town, spectacularly located in the mountains. The main square has several opportunties for refreshments and food served under the shade of ancient trees. It's super quiet and the air is fresh and clean. A creat base for a hiking holiday. Getting here involves driving up smaller, but still excellent roads that hug the sides of mountains. The views as you ascend are often breathtaking. Stemnitsa is also a very refreshing change of pace from the coastal towns, which are also fantastic, but which have a very different character. Stemnitsa is a mountain town, surrounded by trees and other lush vegetation. The air is fresher and cooler (though it still gets warm in the summer).

    Dimitsana is a typical beautiful mountain village with very narrow, steep cobblestone streets. Very picturesque! We loved the experience. The roads leading to it are challenging and the village streets very narrow; not for a nervous driver. Would not recommend to persons with physical mobility issues.
