The kindness of the host - Mrs Popi was very helpful , and I really appreciate that. She really took the extra mile , she waited for me at the port , the room was very clean and comfortable, and she had for me a freshly baked banana cake . I will be back to this beautiful 🦋 island and will chose this property again.

Great location in walking distance from the port and Chora. We enjoyed the amazing view to the castle from the veranda-it is exactly as shown in the photos. Brand new, clean and spacious. Also the parking space was very convenient. The host was very polite and the overall service very professional. We will definitely stay in Ydria if we visit Astypalaia again.

A beautifull place up in Chora with a marvelous view of the harbour. And the host picked us up 2 in the night when we arrived, and drove us to the ferry 3 in the night when we left. That is just fantastic!

Everything perfect. Irene and Virginia are two fantastic hosts, always there for questions, suggestions, and even more. The rooms are very well furnished, silent and with a great view. They also let us find typical product in our room, as a present. We'll be back for sure!

    The room was clean, tidy, nicely-decorated and comfortable with all kitchen amenities. The hostess, Mrs. Froso, was very kind and hospitable. The room offered no breakfast but some fresh juice, milk, coffee and other products were available that was perfect for a light morning snack! Mrs Froso also facilitated our late departure from the room which allowed us to enjoy our last day in the island. The room was cleaned daily and we also got fresh towels. Not many studios in Greece offer all these services and hospitality! The room has a nice little patio but the inner yard of the property may get a bit noisy. Still though with the windows shut, the room is very quiet and cool. The room is in a village called Livadi very close to Chora and just right next to the beach! The restaurant next to the rooms is excellent too with delicious Greek and local food/products and very friendly staff.

    What could I say about this apartment. Amazing views of the castle and port, beautiful room with nice touches, kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very kind and helpful hosts and amazing breakfast, home baked pastries and cakes which was different everyday! Our stay was excellent, and I highly recommend it if you want to fully experience Greek hospitality and a comfortable stay. The hosts very kindly prepared the room earlier than the check in time for us, we had different pastries for breakfast in our room every day, the room was beautiful, and the place was so quiet and chilled. They took very good care of us, and everyone was very kind, responsive and very helpful whenever we needed help. We loved our stay and we would definitely go back to it!     We stayed at superior apartment #1. Comfortable and super spacious apartment, very clean, great hosts , perfect location, minimal cozy and modern design, absolutely value for money! Transfer from/to the port was organized for us for free upon request.The rooms are only 15-20 minutes from Chora but still close to the beach and the famous Mple Limanaki bay. There are also a couple of restaurants and a bakery .The location is perfect ,not noisy at all ideal either for couples,families or friends. The hosts, Anna and her mother Tasia are very kind and always there and available to help or give us information and tips. Rooms were cleaned daily We wish we could go back one day! :)

    Strategic and wonderful place to stay . Note , It’s about walking distance from Chora and Livadi - the two key locations night life is taking off in Astypalaia- while the views from the dwelling are breathtaking! Subtle taste in decoration and attention to details ! Breakfast is varied and varying every day with scrumptious local specialties and home made receipes! Μrs Litsa the owner , is an excellent , reliable guide of the island always prompt to instantly fill you in with the pertaining details Of note this was the second time for us visiting the island and the dwelling and we certainly enjoyed it!

    Beautiful location, by one of the best beaches in Astypalia. Perfect accommodation(Starfish), great views, spacious, clean, everything provided. Aleka and Ilias were amazing hosts, so friendly and always available to help. Breakfast by the beach is awesome. Overall, exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend and will hopefully come again.

    The town is built on a very steep hillside, with most of the restaurants and bars at the top. In the summer there is a bus that runs from the beach to the top. If you come by ferry, check the sailing times, as most are middle of the night and the main port is not at Pera Gyalos. The roads leave a lot to be desired.

    Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea. If you are looking for a relaxed and peaceful stay, a gorgeous clean beach, low key cafes and restaurants (lots of fish dishes and seafood) it is THE perfect place to go. No noisy bikes / scooters. Perfect for couples (not much for children) wanting a stress free break. Car hire would be beneficial to get to the Chora (a 15 minute drive) and enjoy the excellent views, and sample the lovely food. But it is possible to do without a car, using the bus or the "Astybus" which will pick you up on request.

    Magical views, great food, good restaurants ( from 1/2$-$-$$) close to Livadi beach ( steep but walking distance) close to port . Cheap taxi service.5€ to get around.Astybus (electric small busses)picks you up where every you are ( cheap). Very friendly locals.

    Another cute Greek island.

    Another cute Greek island. I have been to 15+ Greek islands over 50 times in total. It is similar to many other Greek islands. Small, cute. The castle and the old town looks really lovely. We went in mid-August. Although the island had probably around 5000 visitors, because there are few restaurants and options, all places were packed. Most of my Greek friends consider Astypalaia as the best Greek island, however in my view it's fine, cute, but I wouldn't say it's more beautiful than many other Greek islands.
