TurkeyVessa is a quieter, secondary destination in Chios. Petrino is one of the best options in the village. We liked the shared terrace we utilized with parents staying in the adjacent room. Breakfast was amazing with homemade jams, pastries and eggs. Owner lady was very positive over the phone and Spiros was super supportive on property.

We were greeted with a lovely note in our language which melted our hearts from the beginning. Lovely staff helped us way before our reservation and continued doing so until we left. Rooms are clean and easy to use, breakfast is great and it’s cafe /bar offers you a great variety of drinks and food.

You wake up to the sea in the morning. You can’t swim directly in front of the place, but a bit further (a 5-10 minute walk) is the sandy beach of Karfas. The center is 6-7 minutes by car. Effie is very attentive and sweet. It was very clean. The kitchen is sufficient, so anyone who wants can cook. We always had breakfast at home. We were very comfortable with the baby. Unfortunately the Green Bus Service was closed due to non payment of wages so was not able to visit villages on that service. The local city bus is still operating. Kampos is a nice area full of older mansions, many restored for use as bed and breakfast. The mansions typically have high walls, and extensive gardens inside the courtyards, full of trees and flowers. It is generally a quiet area, very quaint, and close to major roads leading south, north, and west, not far from the capital city and the airport. We ate at a variety of establishments, both in the nearby village and on the coast. All had fresh seafood and local dishes and the prices were very reasonable. it is a small town in chios, very nice beach, they have seaside showers and changing rooms. You do not have many choices for restaurants but the ones they have is good. Mesta should be a world heritage site.
Mesta should be a world heritage site. This beautiful stone village is like a step back in time, it's so well preserved and authentic. It's a delight to wander the narrow alleys and relax in the little main square. There's plenty to do around the area as well - nearby mastica villages Olympi and Pyrgi are also wonderful day trips, and there are lots of lovely beaches around too. One thing to note is that Mesta doesn't have a few modern things you might need, like an ATM, gas station, pharmacy, doctor, supermarket, etc. You have to drive about 15-20 minutes to Pyrgi for those things. Our stay at Seaside Luxury Komi Beach Villa was fantastic. We enjoyed Komi and the villa which was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely helpful and very responsive. The villa was close to the little harbour where we could get fresh fish. The beach itself is fantastic and the sea water is very clean. An interesting island, quite large, very mountainous, but with excellent roads. Beaches are well-equipped, with gravel and sandy beaches in the southeast and southwest. The north is more rocky, but the sea and mountain landscapes are beautiful everywhere. Friendly people, reasonable prices, and simple, good food, in the Greek tradition.
