The staff was very friendly, very polite, eager to meet every need and make you feel special. Exceptional architecture and interior design. Wondeful facilities. The outdoor pool/sunbeds is fantastic. I definitely recommend it, and I would definitey go back.

Comfortable room, with stylish design. Great location, with beach bar and restaurant alongside. Beach and sea simply astonishing. Very good cleaning services (everyday the cleaning ladies were taking care of our room). Many thanks to all the people there (Kostas, Fwteini, Aggeliki, Apostolos, and all the rest). You are great. The house is wonderful. Feels brand new and is so well kept! Super clean and has all the amenities you may want and more! Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. It is packed with cafeterias, cozy restaurants, music bars. It also has some nice shops, a pharmacy, travel agencies etc.

A Charming village for having quiet holidays , there are a few restaurants with good food and friendly people :) there are several good beaches in Kea but you need a car to visit them , quiet , small beaches with great food and crystal clear water :)

Early september was great to stay a week!

Early september was great to stay a week! It wasn't busy since it was off-season and the 2, Otzias Kouzina and Taverna of Anna, are excellent places to eat and should be easily walkable from any of the places to stay in the area. Near the center and right side of the beach looking out to sea there is more sand and less stone so is better to swim at.

You have to have a car to travel there because there are...

You have to have a car to travel there because there are dirty roads with no public transport. Xyla beach is the most beautiful beach in the island, but you have to have your own umbrella or you have to pay 20-25 Eur per day if you want to have sunbeds and umbrella. There are not so many people like in other beaches of the island, so it is quite calm there during the day.

A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. The staff were friendly even at the end of the season - we were the last guests to leave and the hotel was closing down for the winter!

We were staying a few twisty miles from the main town which is a very interesting place on a steep hill and with almost no traffic - the streets and alley ways are just too narrow. Although we were there at the end of the season there were still a few good restaurants open

Beautiful beach with many options to seat. on the left side the beach has some waves and on the opposite the water is extremely calm. you can rent a lounge chair with umbrella or just lay on your towel.

Melissaki is an area on Kea island that has a few nice...

Melissaki is an area on Kea island that has a few nice hotels and some really beautiful beaches. The road leading to Melissaki from the port and going around the area is a dirt road, however, which can get really bumpy for a typical vehicle and awfully tiring for a visitor who is trying to enjoy their vacation time there. Hence, it is an area to visit and not to stay at.

Very quiet and not a lot to do but very peaceful and restful. Lots of walking trails but not easy to access. Local buses very infrequent. Lovely place for a quiet rest. Local people very nice and friendly.

A highly interesting and atmospheric town with at least 2...

A highly interesting and atmospheric town with at least 2 good restaurants. It is set on a steep hillside and a good deal of strenuous walking is included in a stay-walking is the only way to get around. The 2500 years old stone lion on the edge of town is worth the effort to get to it. If we went again we would choose to go a bit more in season when more shops and restaurants are open.
