We really enjoyed paddling through the chanal with our SUP to some of the more secluded small beaches. Bogdan is a fabulous host, cheerful, allways available and very helpful. His property is very well equipped (even two refrigerators), clean and with a nice sheltered terrace in the back (you can comfortably sit there all day even at high temperatures, sun or rain). Due to its setup (3 floors), it stays quite cool in the lower floors and with the AC you can also easily keep the top floor cooled. The 6 of us (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 small kids) had more than enough space. There is no shop in this small town, but there are plenty of shops and a farmers market in 15 minutes driving distance. (The power plant didn't bother us at all.) I reserved this hotel to stay for my last night after krk camino trail.Location is perfect,5 minutes walk to Krk old town.They were so kind and nice that they let me park my car there for free-cant thank them enough for that knowing your car is safe.Room was clean,bed was super comfortable and having room with sea view from 5 floor that is just priceless.To fall asleep hearing sea waves it doesn't get better than this.I opted for dinner and breakfast and I must say it was one of my most choices as they provide really good meals,and at dinner you can drink self serving drinks including wine.If I could change something I would book them for one more night,the night before my camino hike as it is easier to start if you have full stomach and good night rest.Thank you again for your hospitality and I will visit you again.Guest review byMarkoSlovenia

An interesting old city with a lot to see and enjoy. Bars to suit everyone's taste Historic buildings such as the castle and the Theatre which has very cheap seats compared to the UK. For example a Puccini opera stall seats for the equivalent of £20 each. The market situated in beautiful old buildings with a good quality fresh food. If you are flying from Rijeka airport the bus to get there is very confusing. Despite what they say you cannot book online. Of the 3 bus stations in the city none of them sell tickets for the airport bus.....although they will direct you to each other. The airport bus leaves from Jelacicev Trg (square) and takes preferably cash : E15 each or will take card at a push. We found Senj to be a great place to stay. It was perfect for driving to other activities and sites like the Fortress, beaches and Plitvice Park. Although there is not much to Senj old town, it was very nice to explore and enjoy the plaza and restaurants. It was a great place to visit with plenty of activities to keep you active such as walks and diving (Squatina Diving Centre just round the corner), or there was the beach where you could just spend the week relaxing depending on your preferences.
