SerbiaFirst of all, the apartment was one of the cleanest and most beautifully smelling I've ever been in, I can freely say that it was cleaner than some hotel rooms. It is very functional, comfortable and very well equipped with all possible things you may need on your trip. The location is ideal, it is close to the bus station, ferry, bakery, market and the main street of the epicenter of events on Vis. Finally, the host, Monika, is one of the nicest and sweetest hosts and pearsons I have had experience with so far. For every recommendation!

NorwayBeautiful, tranquil oasis in the middle of Komiža. Right by the beach and everything you need. The house is large and perfect for our group of 8. Well eqipped kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The host was really nice and answered our questions within a heartbeat. The gem of the place is absolutely the backyard where we enjoyed several meals. All in all a perfect stay.

The room was well supplied with modern conveniences (AC, fridge with freezer, perfect little bathroom). The view from the balcony is stunning! The family that hosted us were the kindest, most awesome people we have met during our stay, all english-speaking! Absolutely one of the best experience of ours was the breakfast: You can order from the menu, and try their mind-blowingly tasty dishes from omelettes through various toasts (avocado, smoked fish) to sweet pancakes and a lot more! And the view from the open-air terrace/square where the breakfast can be eaten is also beautiful (harbour, peninsulas in Vis bay). We always received tips for our stay from the hosts and they were very open and friendly people. If you are staying just a couple of nights or if you plan to stay longer they are the perfect choice! We would give them 11 out of 10 points if that was possible! The location is perfect in the middle of town, every restaurant was within a 15-min-long walk radius. Elegant and epitomising quiet luxury, not only are the rooms comfortable but also stylish. The venue as a whole has the same aesthetic. Breakfast in the terrace is delightful and the choices are superb with fresh herbs from the garden. Yes, bathrooms are small but I found it still well laid out and functional. The minibar and coffee machine are a welcome extra and the bed was super comfortable. Service was exceptional, and I highly suggest following recommendations from the staff; they know the island and the vistas so well. Fantastic location, less than 10 min walk to centre of Komiza, very clean, modern & really well equipped. Also just at the start of several hiking trails. Correspondence before was brilliant and a taxi was organised to collect / drop off at the ferry (even though we needed at 6:15am pick up) and the price was for an 8 seater taxi and cheaper than just getting one at the post. The island of Vis is truly very special, still largely untouched by mass tourism, which gives it a unique and authentic charm. Its beaches are fabulous, with crystal-clear waters and stunning landscapes, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Additionally, the island offers wonderful restaurants where you can taste local cuisine made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Here, time seems to slow down, allowing you to savor every moment calmly. When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely host. There was 2 beers in the fridge and some nuts which was a lovely add. It was clean and can’t fault the host or the room. However, the only thing to be made aware of is that the location is very far away from the port. It is a 20 minuet walk to the beach. A supermarket near by is mentioned however we were not able to find it. Luckily we had hired a car and were able to drive to others about 30 minuets away. There are 2 restaurants which are both lovely within walking distance but only sell fish related dishes. Vis is a great place to unplug and relax. The color of the ocean is mesmerizing and the streets of Vis town, Kut, and Komiza are fun to wander. We enjoyed a boat trip seeing the Blue Cave, Green Cave, and swimming at several beautiful beaches, although the water was still a bit chilly this time of year (on the plus side, the sites weren't crowded). Stunning part of the world.We did the hike over the hill to Beraski Beach location for a few scenes in The Mamma Mia 2 movie.Werll worth it as scenery unreal but not for those who struggle with incline or decline!!1.20hrs moderate paced walk there and back with the most beautiful crystal clear water to swim in and shady places to chill and have refreshments if you brought any!!Huge choice of great restaurants in Komiza and lots of excursions by boat to suit everyone’s budget.Food reasonable and wine delicious!!!Guest review bymaeveIreland - 8.0

Ample cafés and bars however we found Hotel Issa to offer by far and away the best value for walk in meals Good fun tracking down the Mama Mia locations. Komiza is a lovely town with a great seaside getaway vibe. It's only 15 minutes from Vis Town and it's a bit more lively and definitely much more beautiful. They have the best tour operator on the island called Ames – a lovely couple who organise amazing boat trips round the island and cook exquisite food using locally sourced produce. Surprisingly, there are no ridiculously overpriced tourist traps and people are really lovely. Do yourself a favour and go there.Guest review byTomUnited Kingdom
