Everything was really nice and well set up—from the entrance gate all the way to the room. Everything is kid-friendly. Our daughter loved the lion-shaped room key card! They even provide bathrobes for the little ones. In the restaurant area, there’s also a special section just for kids. The water park and play area were super fun, even for adults. We visited in April, so the warm pool water was a big plus. The spa for adults was great too.

An excellent stay in a modern and cosy hotel. Very clean and comfy. For all sauna lovers also beautiful spa with different types of sauna and discrete, quiet resting place. Extremely friendly staff. They were very professional and understanding when I needed to postpone my stay due to health reasons. All went well, they made sure I have no problems with reservation and allowed no extra charges. We decided to come back every winter. They also offer a diverse and rich breakfast & dinner. Hotel is located walking distance from mystic Heviz thermal lake, there are also cute shopping streets and a great gallery with many beautiful paintings from local artists.

The location is perfect, just a very short walking distance to the lake. There is a lot of parking in the property itself but also in the street just outside. The very big rooms have a balcony which is great as you have drying rack where you can dry your wet clothes after a swim. I would have loved if their would be a jacuzzi in the garden as the garden is really huge and a card or a small payment to get towels to take with you to the lake. Breakfast is really good and you have the option to sit indoors or in the beautiful garden.

Blue Waters, Wine and Thermal Springs

Known to many as Hungarian Sea, Lake Balaton is the Central Europe’s largest body of fresh water and one of its most popular attractions. Located in the Transdanubia region of Hungary, the Balaton is great for water sports, wine-tasting trips or simply relaxing in the sun.

One of the major resorts is Siofok, great for a family holiday due to significantly shallower waters here and plenty of children activities and facilities. Known as the capital of Balaton, it is full of sandy beaches, stalls with local food and crafts, as well as nightclubs.

Other popular destinations on the south shore of the lake are Zamardi, Balatonfoldvar, Balatonfenyves and Fonyod, the latter offering great views of the lake and the volcanic-topped hills surrounding it.

The Balaton’s north shoreline features pretty towns, popular with an elderly crowd and lovers of deeper waters. The location of the property high on the hillside ensures it is quiet with an amazing view overlooking the lake. The kitchen is listed in the Michelin guide and lived up to its reputation - we had amazing meals every time we sat down in their dining room. Very central location. Main hotel areas are very modern and recently refurbished. Spa is amazing with multiple saunas and pools of different temperatures. There is a nice private beach too. Breakfast and dinner have limited offer, but are relatively healthy compared to rest around Balaton - though it would be nice to have few more healthy salads or similar options.

This place is amazing, extremely well maintained and gorgeous garden, very comfortable and well equipped accommodations. The pool is gorgeous, nice, clean water and very pleasant. The event rooms and the restaurant is nice and there is a fire pit in the garden as well. Everything is nice and spacious and the garden with the ancient trees is simply breath-taking.

Quiet small town, very clean and well presented, plenty of parks, flower beds and central object - great thermal warm lake. We did not find ANY supermarket though... Lol. Only small shops to buy wine and chocolates.

It's a nice place where you can spend a great holiday. You have a lot of bike lanes to ride on. The lake is usually nice but sometimes it can be really muddy. A lot of restaurants so you surely can find something to eat. Overall a great place to be during summer and autumn.

Veszprem is a small city, with some very impressive architecture, and interesting history. Also a nice place to just explore . The area along the riverside which passes the bottom entrance to the zoo then reaches a really nice park is a favoured walk for us . The centre has a good selection of restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and budgets . One thing to be aware of is that lunch is the Hungarian main meal of the day , therefore we have a couple of times tried to get a meal a bit later on the evening , depending on the time of year or day of the week that has sometimes been hard to find . Getting around , we can walk anywhere it’s a compact city . We generally get a lift from family to and from Station, after that we walk , if your fairly fit and can walk for about an hour I think you won’t need public transport but it is available if required . We are 3 adults so can’t say what children would like other the zoo and ice cream shops which are very good .

As a couple, we were interested in exploring the wines of the region and were fortunate to arrive during a time when all the major wine producers of the surrounding area had stalls on the promenade of Balatonfured along the lake as well as local food. It is easy to get to Balatonfured from Budapest by train and once, there, to get around on foot. Many people cycle though.

There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake.

There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake. But, for us that was the reason to come since we wanted to avoid any outside activities. Just wanted to do be in the hotel and enjoy in SPA! Will come back for sure!

Nice, small city with (paid) beach at Balaton lake. Full of tourist in the centre(parkings also paid) but if you go uphill - towards hills - you can find not only delicious wine but relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence.

Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence. I recommend visiting outside the main tourist season. The prices are higher, but the place offers an excellent starting point for walking, cycling or car tourism around Lake Balaton.

Tapolca is a small, charming town where the Mill Pond and the Lake Cave offer a truly unique experience. Romantic little cafés, restaurants, and shopping centers (yes, even a McDonald's) are also available, catering well to those with such preferences.

Great place to be in the summer but also off-season. Clean and cozy atmosphere with just enough things to do. The beach is exceptionally clean and the water is good for swimming. Better than on the south side of the lake.

The main building in lake was closed for reconstruction and...

The main building in lake was closed for reconstruction and the lake was tooo cold for me. It should have been warmer at the end of September. It looks like the reconstruction will go forever because iI dod not see any workers. It is too cold to stay out of the main building. And they do not even give a discount. Should have gone to Budapest instead,
