A truly enchanting stay! The location, nestled amidst sea and mountains, felt like a slice of heaven. The low-hanging clouds added drama to the breathtaking views. The staff were attentive, and breakfast was delightful. The charming bridge just outside was straight out of a fairytale! The photos on Booking site didn’t display the exterior views, which surprised me because that’s the main attraction of this place. I traveled to Achill Island Hotel from the Cliffs of Moher, and the drive through Galway and County Mayo was one of the most scenic routes I’ve experienced in Ireland. County Sligo offers a wealth of activities, making this hotel ideally situated between Mayo, Galway, and Sligo for exploring all these places in just two to three days.

Roisin and Michael were very friendly hosts. When we arrived Roisin offered us a much appreciated pot of tea and biscuits. We stayed in a spacious upstairs room with a sea view. The cooked breakfast was really good, especially Roisin's homemade bread. The unexpected treat was to look out at Dooagh Bay and see a pod of dolphins swim up and down while we ate breakfast. Our hosts gave us good information on local dining options and on various walking trails. It's a great location from where to visit the many sights on Achill Island.

I like the warmth and friendliness of the people I met, and the helpfulness. Achill Island is very beautiful and because I came by electric car I was delighted to find a new charger near the hotel - a practical point but important for me. Also having a car made getting around easy. If God could be persuaded to hold off the rain next time I visit that would be great

Keel is a charming beach town with a laid back vibe. We lived exploring the island and learning more about the history. The abandoned village and the Neolithic court and passage tombs nearby are totally worth a visit!

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing.

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing. There weren't any shops open while we were there over Easter, which was lovely. There might be more open during the summer. If we needed food we headed to Keel. The Beach Hotel in Doogort was open at the weekend and there were plenty of people in the bar but it closed again once Monday came. There are a few places to eat on the island, Mastersons bar being the closest. There is also a great wee place called Pure Magic which did lovely pizzas. The drive to Keel doesn't take long and has a few more bars and restaurants. If you want a quiet break with breathtaking scenery you're going to the right place. A drive to Keem Bay is definitely worth it but try to go early/late to avoid the crowds. We saw a seal coming out of the water and basking sharks not too far out in the sea.

Good location if driving or cycling. Food good. Room small for family of 4. Pictures deceiving on website. Staff polite and friendly. Keem beach is a must see, beautiful...even in bad weather! Paddle boarding at the lake was really good fun, lake shallow enough for younger children.

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely.

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely. We did a boat trip with seascape safaris - around the nearby islands and saw birds, seals, dolphins etc. Lots of lovely beaches, some historical monuments and several information boards at various locations around the island supplying local history. Surprising good food. We lunched , then the next day caked at , I think it was called An Dun - gorgeous food and amazing views of Sliabh Mór. We had dinner 3 nights, each hotel and Teds. All very good though my personal favourite was Teds. I would happily go back for another visit - beautiful location for walking, running, swimming or generally relaxing

Head to Keem Beach and enjoy the white sands & blue water of Atlantic. Also go to Gielty's Bar, the owner drove the cast of Banshees of Inishirin around the island. He has some stories to tell.

Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts.

Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts. Some excellent views, and lovely beaches. You can drive up the mountains for outstanding vistas. But be careful as roads can be quite narrow. Weather was good when we needed it to be, but it was very wet at times. Crew Bay Cruise was very enjoyable and well worth a visit. Food on the Island (i.e.Teds and The Amethyst) was very good and reasonably priced.
