United StatesI can't recommend this guest house highly enough! The host is very accommodating and the house is lovely. It's in a wonderful location - about a 20 minute walk to town - so it's nice and quiet. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I totally enjoyed my stay!

The location was perfect (short walk to city center), with off-site parking a bonus. Frank was very personable and welcoming. The breakfast had good variety and the Made-in-Ireland pottery was a classy touch. Wish we had more time to spend in the yard/garden.

Very close to town and there was a centre right next door .
Very close to town and there was a centre right next door .
There was a gorgeous Chinese restaurant witch me and my partner went to before the cinema.
It is fair easy to get to the town there are loads of taxis about if you do not drive it is also in walking distance.

Birr castle is beautiful, as is the river walk but the best thing was the atmosphere in the thatch pub in crinkle. Emma's coffee shop does a decent cappuccino after a nice walk in the park. The county arms hotel is stunning and served delightful food.

I was blown away by how gorgeous and stunning it was. So clean, well maintained and I felt like I went back in time. I wanted an authentic castle with green lush grass and this was it. The property is beautiful and we walked through the fairy forest.

House is beautiful, warm and quiet, very nice area and there are plenty of places to get take away food and a couple of pubs as well.

Suzies is comfortable and cozy. Located in Belmont (between Fernandinho and Shannobridge) you will need a car to get around. Some lovely country towns and villages nearby. Suzie was very welcoming and the property was well equipped with everything you need.

The Sea Dew B&B was wonderful, as was dinner at the Italian restaurant, Mezzo. The Tullamore Dew Distillery Tour was amazing and a do not miss stop. Even if you’re not crazy about whiskey, the tour is educational and what beautiful setting!

Birr might be a small town but it (like many small Irish towns) is full of history with plenty of places to eat and shop and a wonderful castle and grounds right in town. Everyone we met was so friendly and nice; we were even invited to stay with a local at their home if we wanted to return to the town in the future (in a serious way, not a casual "I'm-just-being-polite" kind of way). Because of it's central location, it's a good launch point for day-trips to other parts of Ireland as well with lots of natural and historical points of interest within a 30 min drive. My family had a wonderful time staying here.

The village is just beautiful and would highly highly recommend a trip to the castle and the dungeon restaurant A++++++ will most definitely be returning to Kinnitty to stay in the castle couldn’t recommend it enough from the staff to the food to the scenery just beautiful and amazing
