The cathedral is a site to behold,so tranquil and the rose glass is beautiful. The walk along the corrib river was wild, and it's speed is breathtaking. St Nicholas church had a small market on the Saturday with local produce available. If planning to eat out in the evening, booking is essential. We had the most delicious meal at the Venice restaurant on 11 Abbey Street lower. Highly recommend this place and excellent choices to suit all tastes. O Connells bar and Thirteen on the green are a must if you like watching all sports. Go early if a big game is being televised if you want a seat. Finally everything is within walking distance and very easy to find your way about.

Cork itself was a great experience.

Cork itself was a great experience. The city has a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, and everything is easy to reach. It isn’t overly populated, the air feels clean, and there’s plenty of space to move around without the stress of a crowded city. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming, offering lots to see and do while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The only thing to be aware of is that winters can feel quite cold and moist, so good layers are a must.

Plenty of craic!

Plenty of craic! Lots of opportunities to shop, eat, drink, enjoy the Irish hospitality! Loved every minute of it. The traffic around the center was a bit of a nightmare, but what city isn't? We parked the car for the time there, and walked everywhere or grabbed a horse drawn buggy or tour bus. It was pretty awesome.....

Limerick is a city of great historical interest including the medieval castle and the Georgian city centre. Beautifully located on the River Shannon, we enjoyed walking along the river, the parks and city streets. Plenty of great bars, especially Nancy's and Locke's, and restaurants, especially Enzo's. The Hunt Museum is a prime cultural centre.

One of my favourite Irish cities - Sligo has it all. Great shops and event spaces including a great theatre and a sizeable event arena. The pubs are brilliant and offer entertainment year round. The city centre is very walkable and everything you need is close by. The restaurants on offer are among the best in Ireland including top spots like Eala Bhán and Hooked, locally owned and sourcing local high quality produce.

The town, the shops, the manners of all motor traffic, they don’t blow you off the road crossings if you are slow in walking due to injury. The people are friendly and shops off good value. We dined in the hotel Wytt for all meals and visited 3 pubs, the town landscape is excellent and Christmas lighting beautiful.

Visiting Dingle offseason (early December) has its advantages. Some places were closed though most are open by the weekend. The weather is cool and often wet but that did not limit our visit. It is a great town with many choices for lunch and dinner and the live music is available someplace nightly. The people are very friendly and the beauty of the place is truly enchanting. Once you have identified the one-way streets and found good parking, driving around Dingle is not difficult. The drive around the Dinge peninsula is easy - and do take the side roads to the shoreline and various attractions.
