Calm and serene, awesome food and amazing staff. We had a lovely stay at Avadale Munnar, there was 8 of us including a child and it was everything we could ask for. We wanted a little time for ourselves during our holiday and it was well catered for. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. The manager did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. We definitely look forward to staying there in the future.

The location is absolutely stunning. A little bit further from the city but that is absolutely worth it and that makes it quiet and peacefull. And the hotel even paid half of the tuktuk fare to get to the hotel! Large room and bathroom, very new and clean. Great views on the tea plantations. Nice, helpfull staff, good food, perfect!

Nestled in verdant, sylvan surroundings, Aveda Mountains & Mist, Munnar, where we spent 2 nights has exceeded all our expectations. Everything, from the rooms, linen, the choice of food items, were exceptional. Above all, the GM Mr Surendran & his dedicated Team were always willing to walk the extra mile with a smile. We plan to spend a longer stay at Aveda in the near future. Pia & S K Chowdhuri. This was a two-day large family group stay which turned out to be truly memorable in every respect. In addition to the resort’s beautiful and tranquil location with outstanding views, the service was absolutely exceptional. The resort has beautiful landscaped gardens and a clean swimming pool. The cottages and rooms are very modern, comfortable and clean. Every staff member was courteous and respectful and always ready to help. However, General Manager, Mr Surendran and chef, Mr Raghunath deserves special mention for their leadership and excellent attention to our needs which ensured a hassle free and truly happy experience. We felt very well looked after and their hospitality was genuine and superb. We will also never forget the excellent and sumptuous dinners prepared by chef Raghunath and his team and we really felt spoilt. Thank you ever so much for making our stay such a wonderful experience. We are determined to return to Aveda for a longer stay. Drs Dutt and family from Calcutta

First, I’d like to share something I truly believe in, based on 30 years of travel experience: nothing is ever perfect, no matter the name of the hotel or the country. There are always those who focus on the negatives and overlook the beauty. So, just be yourself, stay humble, and learn to love everything around you. The resort is very beautiful, and the view is stunning — it reminds me of the classic Windows interfaces. It's one of the most beautiful views I've ever experienced. Just order your coffee and enjoy the scenery from the room's balcony. I also can't forget the restaurant — it served the most delicious food I had during my entire trip to India, and the prices were very reasonable. Most importantly, there's a person named Sanal at the restaurant — put your trust in him when choosing your meal. He is polite, helpful, and dedicated to his job. He is a key part of what makes this resort special. Thank you, Sanal — I wish you all the best and much success.

Wow - where to start? An absolutely beautifully crafted resort, set in a location to die for. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The little cottage we stayed in was so well-appointed, so gorgeous. The views were incredible. The staff were the nicest, most friendly & helpful you could wish for. Munnar has everything for everybody.

Munnar has everything for everybody. Trekking experiences, wildlife experiences, national park experiences and viewpoints. Favorite Spots, the Eravikulam National Park, Echo Point Kayaking, Elephant Spotting point, Trekking at the Chokramudi peak, Kolukkumalai sunrise view point, Couple Ziplining at Adventron. Sarvana bhavan in the central Munnar was our goto place and SAP aka SREE ANNAPOORANI PURE VEG. They had enough veg delicacies of both local and outside.

Easy to get around by tuk tuk.

Easy to get around by tuk tuk. Much less busy than neighbouring Munnar, so there was much less going on which we wanted for the jungle. Are some of the best food of my life in Prakrithi restaurant.

U can explore gap road, poopara, bodimett, kolukkumalai, Chathurangappara from here with ease.Taj restaurant at poopara ( not the original luxury brand ) offers food at low prices compared to the costly meals at resorts

The homestay is surrounded by lush greenery, and in the morning, you can hear birds chirping. Taking a fresh bath in the natural small waterfall near the property was wonderful. The rooms were neat, and the toilets were big and clean. The host was excellent and very helpful. He assisted us in planning our itinerary and suggested good drivers (auto/taxi) for sightseeing. The breakfast served was typical Kerala style, very tasty and mouthwatering. I definitely recommend everyone to try this homestay.

Munnar is a nature lovers delight. Everywhere your eyes go there is immense beauty. Also the place is well kept and neat. We felt 2 days was a bit tight for us but we thoroughly enjoyed the place, the good food and the amazing nature!

We experienced cold and rainy weather most of the time. Hiking is beautiful but leeches are a BIG problem in the rainy season. Tea plantation s are everywhere and a re gorgeous but i didn't love the tea itself. All in all its a good location for nature and serenity lovers.

Definitely would recommend visit to Munnar especially for the following three attractions 1. Kannan Devan Tea factory visit 2. Pottas farm Fish spa and ecstasy ride 3. Punarjani Kalaripayattu and Kathakali show (4:30 pm onwards)

Although reaching the resort was not particularly exciting , we quite liked the place once we got there. There are not enough signboards to take us to the resort from the main road. Fortunately we got the caretaker of the resort on the phone who gave us directions. If by any chance his phone was unavailable that would have meant the end of our holiday !! It is a clean place with reasonable facilities. Staff were more than ready to help us even though some of them looked a bit glum. Food was mediocre, a bit too spicy though. Would have been good if cloth slippers were provided considering that the floors were cold. Also a shame that there was no Wifi. Despite this I may decide on going there again as our family of 6 + 2 kids had a great time. There's a stream within the property which was really nice. Wish there was no litter lying around ( I know it is difficult as the property is huge). Don't miss the trek through the cardamom plantations !!
